Nobody was going south so i got a ride into centre of Rotterdam to try somewhere else to get to Breda

Stood right in the corner between a main road and the turn to gas station. Heavy traffic, got picked up after 40 seconds (possibly luck xd). Real nice spot to Rotterdam.

probably the best spot to go from Rotterdam to Den Haag or Amsterdam. Waited maybe 25-35 min

Its probably not that good of a spot, but we got really lucky and second car we asked were on a way back home to France and they were willing to take us close to the exact place in Rotterdam we wanted to visit.

We asked around the parking lot and like 6th car driver was from Turkey driving truck with fish to Rotterdam so we waited with him until his pauze ended and then enjoyed great ride, singing and eat some turkish meals with him while driving to Neatherlans.

Great stop to leave Rotterdam, many cars stopped but heading all over the place. In the end we got ride to Nieuw-Vennep.

Lots of traffice heading all around, cars can stop easily. We just tried it and after half hour a guy took us to better spot in Rotterdam

It took surprisingly long to find a ride into Rotterdam here, but I eventually found one through asking around at the gas station. Staff there was very friendly and one even offered to take me to Rotterdam if I don't find a lift.

Great spot for going north to Amsterdam, and okay spot to get west to Rotterdam. Unfortunately the staff of the gas station told me I can't ask drivers for a lift at the gas station itself, so I had to resort to using a sign on the exit of the parking lot. A bit annoying, as the gas station had lots of cars coming through. I the end, I didn't wait too long and finally found somebody who drove me close to Rotterdam.

Was standing with „Bremen“ sign for like 40-50 minutes (from 13:00). Few cars refused to pick me because they were going to Hannover. At the end I got a lucky lift all the way to Rotterdam. Good spot, nice traffic.

Picked up by a nice dude who took me to Rotterdam. Didn't have to wait too long.

We were two girls. The driver was super nice, we wanted to get to Rotterdam because there was no train working that day, he brought us to a metro station in his town.

Most cars went south or to Zwolle, but at the end i found a car to Rotterdam

We hardly had to wait, a car to Rotterdam dropped us of in Ghent

Was there at sunrise on a weekday. In around 25 minutes, I was offered two different rides. One in the direction of Rotterdam, and another towards a petrol station on the highway just outside of Leiden. At this hour it was all short-distance work traffic.

this is my go-to hitchhiking spot in the Hague, lots of cars leaving the Hague heading south towards Rotterdam and Belgium

Good spot, hirched by thumb got a ride to Rotterdam. May also be good gor going towards Barnevels

I arrived here at around 22:00 on a Friday night. VERY few cars passed by the gas station at this time. Drivers seemed afraid to pick me up. Later the cashier inside told me it was due to high drug trafficking in this area. The cashier inside of the gas station was very nice. He let me charge my phone and gave me free coffee. I was headed to Amsterdam but accepted a ride to Rotterdam because I had been waiting so long.

Since the last vote was cast, the A4 inbetween The Hague and Rotterdam was opened, making it a far busier location than it used to be.
