Lot of space, but still in the city
Best option though
Difficult as always in Norway
54 tunels and you're in Bergen!

A guy and a girl on a Thursday afternoon without a sign. There is a bus stop large enough for cars to stop and a small road entrance after the bus. There is a lot of passage, and cars don't go that fast. We got a ride to Bergen after a short wait.

A guy and a girl on a Tuesday afternoon without a sign. There is some place to stop, but not many cars, and most people just drive by. The people who stopped were all going to Stryn, so maybe not the best way to Nordfjordeid or Bergen...

A guy and a girl on a Tuesday afternoon, without a sign. Not a lot of space to stop here, and not that many cars go by. We got a ride to Grodås, but we were told this is not the best way to Bergen, as more people take the ferry here.

A guy and a girl on a Wednesday afternoon without a sign, on our way to Bergen. A lot of cars passing by at relatively slow speed, and a large place for them to stop.
A car stopped to drive us to Hemsedal after 20min.
You can also go to Bergen by the road 7, but a local guy told us that most people use the 52, so we decided to take our chances with this one.

You can ask people at the backside of the station if they go to Bergen. Many people drop people of at this place, or pick them up, once a train arrives

It seems to be a good spot for any direction but mostly people who stopped here were driving to Bergen. But I found a woman driving past Knarvik eventually.

A good spot overall, has space to stop and has a little cover from the rain under the cherry stall. I got a ride with a professional driver from Lapland all the way to Bergen. He even offered me a job as a driver, as they have one car without a driver at the moment haha.

A very good spot that you can reach by bus from Bergen when you want to go in the direction to Trondheim.

For direction Bergen: bus stop with good visibility and a shelter. Can be reached from the station by following the road and using the large bridge just past the Voss vandrarheim

I believe this gas station is a good spot to go to Bergen, I managed to find a car going up north but it didn’t bring me far

Good spot to hitchhike at a Busstop (Kvåle). Got a Ride to Bergen super quick. The downside is that the spot is not super accessible. A friend drove me to the Busstop from Voss and then I started hitching from there. I guess it is an Option to walk from Voss via Peter Bondes Veg and then following the little paved road right next to E16 (probs 30-40 min walk). There is another Busstop closer to Voss (Seim) that is less far to walk but I have not tried hitching a ride from there.

**for Reference: i‘m a woman, mid-twenties, white. Got a ride on a sunday around noon. **

Shitty spot if you‘re trying to get to Bergen. Apparently it makes more sense to try on the other side of Voss before the Tunnel as almost nobody driving down that road goes to Bergen. Gave up after 1,5 hours and ended up taking the Train bc i had to be in Bergen at a certain time.

Managed to get a ride quite quickly to the spot at Trengereid. I think this might be a better spot than the one close by. It‘s a 5 Minute walk from Arna Trainstation. Took the train from Bergen to Arna - as mentioned in the other spot.

Good Spot. Easy to get a ride to the ferry or with a bit of Luck all the Way up to Haugesund or Bergen. Both times i hitchhiked from there i got a ride within 30-40 min. If you‘re coming from Stavanger it makes sense to take the Bus to out there.

the spot looks very ideal but I waited for so long. everyone stopped and told me it is dangerous to hitchhiking but not driving me. Someone just bought me train ticket at the end and drove me to the train station. Maybe I wrote Bergen on my sign whish is too far from there, so no one wanted to pick me up:(
