i hitchhiked here several times, usually it takes between 1-20 minutes to get a car going far south. a lot of people going south to częstochowa and katowice stop here. if you want to go to south of poland be patient and dont go to rawa mazowiecka (theres a lot of cars going there but getting out of rawa is difficult)

Tried to go direction of Czech republic. No result after 1.5 hours. People are going to Częstochowa directly. After this time I switch side and go to direction of Germany and managed to leave from there

It's not allowed to hitchhike here, but I got dropped here and had no other option. Although on highway it's good to catch long rides. Caught directly to Częstochowa and even got a place to sleep there

Great place towards Warsaw, Częstochowa and Wrocław. I tried all directions a lot of times and always the waiting time is acceptable.

I was going back from Kiev, UA, i made a walk through city and i ve seen a car with SC numbers (Cżestochowa's car) from 50 meters. "Are you gong to Częstochowa sir? " No to Kraków to my girlfriend" "Fair enough" "jump into the car"

Road 8 towards Częstochowa and Katowice. There are certainly a good spots here as well, but I did not try it.
