Not a lot of traffic, but eventually got a car directly to Katowice, had a sign “PL”

Sunday 18.00 most of local traffic, but still it works good (some licence plates from Szczecin Katowice Wrocław Wieluń Warszawa)

Idk how to rate this spot. Ok? There is a lot of traffic but idk how much of the traffic was going on the highway to krakow. Good bus stop. By now you are passed by most of the town. Didnt want to stand on onramp to highway. Got a guy driving to katowice and i thought that he woudl take highway to krakow and then katowice until he droped me at one of the exits of highway because there was apperantly faster way. :/// had a KK (krakow) sign

Didnt seem to be a very busy gas station. And we were trying to go to a town between wroclaw and katowice and we asked a czech car to take us to the next gas station to that direction because we thought they were going to prague but actually they were going to ostrava so they were going literally past the town we needed which was insanely lucky. But probaly easier to catch rides to poznan direction here than south. Most people were not even going that direction. Most still stayed in berlin

Perfect spot to go to Czestochowa, Katowice and Lodz. Used this spot this year 3 times never waited longer than 10 minutes to get a ride. Also easy to reach and you are sheltered from rain. Sign or asking is important here because highways go into multiple directions. Also around 10 am

Lots of traffic here especially heading towards Poland. There was a lot of cars which were very full but found a ride eventually. Depending on what final destination is, maybe worth writing 'Polska' and then taking polish trains to Krakow/Katowice/Częstochowa.

Got a rise to service area in the highway with holding a 5km sign. The driver told us to go to the northern service area as they have an open gate and then cross the bridge to get to the one heading Katowice.

We asked some drivers in queue and after 1 hour we got a ride to Katowice (2ppl) Great place because all cars have to stop here and Wait You can’t walk through this border (only by car)

i wasnt expected that but that spot was really good to go south got took to katowice in 20 min there are a lot of traffic, it’s a bus stop so full of space to stop and cars are not that fast u can go there by bus from center, it’s 50 min and no one control ticket here ahahaha so perfect fully recommend it if u want to go katowice (use a sign) good luck🫡

(Saturday) We met other hitchhikers there, one car stopped going to Katowice they took it. Another 20 later one more car stopped and we got also to Katowice.

Cool spot, really busy. A coincidence, or maybe just luck? But I managed to catch a direct ride to Poland, Katowice!! 750 km I traveled alone, male

Direction: Poland, Katowice Hitchhikers: 2, male Time: 12:00 Nice spot, there is a fast food and a petrol station. Cars which stop here almost certainly go to Poland, a lot of them as far as Warsaw. We asked around some people and a guy told us he‘s going to Warsaw.

Found a small truck going to Katowice within 15min. Lots of local traffic as well so just need to be a bit patient. Around 9:30am on a Saturday morning, couple with sign and thumb. Walked here from bus stop before the junction, easy and safe 15min walk not on the highway.

Great spot, the traffic is constant, I hardly had time to even make my sign, the cars and trucks passing without pause. I had an offer to near Katowice within five minutes and took the second offer ten minutes later when they said they’d take me to the next big gas station. I was on my way to Berlin and I would say that this was the better spot than where they took me (Miejsce Obsługi Podróżnych Wirek). I took the city bus from Krakow, there is indeed a fence you have to jump. In the forest to the right of the gate (facing it) you can do so unseen. There’s a spot with a cement post that makes it a bit easier, and I took out my wrench and undid the top screws securing the fence to the post there, making it even easier. Lots of holes that have clearly been repaired, check to see if there’s a new one.

Was here after a lunch so already quite a few trucks were stopping for a day. And maybe here its better to ask just cars because there is quite a few. But still half of them goes to Katowice area. But eventually I got a guy to Warsaw and I think its better to not accept anything closer. Try to get at least past Czestochowa.

Not a lot of traffic but normal amount. Tho half of it goes to Ostrava. But eventually got a truck which was going to Katowice so asked to drop off at the gas station in Poland.

good for north and katowice, unreal for south.
