It wasn't good traffic in the morning, I saw literally only one delivery van on parking on polish plates. I asked him and he gave me a ride directly to Katowice, could be Kraków if I would want.

Avoid this gas station if you’re not going to Kraków, not good for Nowy Sącz.

Lots of people, KFC and Shell. 15 min of asking and we caught a ride to Kraków.

Most of cars are going in kłobuck direction it is not the best for katowice or kraków

MOP Szewce. A medium sized parking lot next to S7 motorway. You can get there from Kielce by bus no. 19 (get off at Szewce wiadukt bus stop). Go to the right, upstairs and through the door. If the door is locked, you can jump over the fence or try the gate a little bit further the small road. Most of the people go to Kraków or Katowice from here.

Really good spot on the bus stop. Easy to get a ride to Nowy Targ or Kraków even.

It's quite a busy gas station, so I got a ride pretty quickly (without asking, just hitching at the exit). A truck driver passing Kraków took me to the Kraków ring road and dropped me off on the highway. I took a short walk to the nearby Lidl for a bus.

Pretty much the same as what people mentioned at the spot in the centre of Kęty. The road leading out of town towards Kraków seems like a good place to hitch, with plenty of space to stop and a decent traffic flow. Reality check: I waited around 40 minutes to finally hitch a truck (by showing the begging hands) going a bit closer to Kraków. Seems strange! The truck driver 'Don Mateusz' was awesome, even though he couldn't speak English.

Walked all the way out of Bielsko-Biała, hoping that some people heading to Kraków wouldn't take the long way around through the main highway. I hitched a short ride pretty quickly. Most of the plates were local, though. I wrote the sign 'Do Krakowa' and got a lift to Kęty within 5 minutes (thanks, Martin 👋).

Shit place! All the traffic is local, heading to the villages around. Do yourself a favour and try to hitch from the border area. I only managed to get a ride to Bielsko-Biała right when I started giving up, even though I was trying to get to (relatively close) Kraków.

It took us 10 minutes to get a ride to Kraków for two guys. We were dropped off here, the location seems tricky to get to on foot. Asking people on the station directly seems to be the necessary approach.

Great spot for going to Kraków

There is some construction work going on, but that actually slows traffic down, which makes it easier for people to notice you. You can get here by bus from the centre of Kraków in a flash.

Spot is good, but although there are 2 lanes in the direction of Kraków, cars from only one lane can stop, as the other lane has a non-crossable line. Another potential good spot would be bus stop "poronin za torem", which is closer to Zakopane

After the pandemic the wait time is longer, but this is still a good spot. It's a bus stop, you can get here via city bus or A1 bus that is operated by Koleje Wielkopolskie.Cars go slower here because it's up a slope, if you don't have any luck you can go further down the road via bus, or cross the Street and go back to Kraków.

Direction: Radom When I was wating for a bus to Kraków/Cracow I try catch a car to Radom Bus stop + traffic lights + a lot of car + in front of the highway/expressway = good place

Direction: Kraków/Cracow This might have been a good place a few years ago because there is a lot of space. Nowadays, when everybody ride expressway this place isn't good. If somebody ride this way it's probably going to Radom from Warsaw and stay here. I recomend ride a bus number 5 to "Młodocin Mniejszy I" and there is a nice place to catch a car to Kraków/Cracow

well found a driver to Wroclaw (via Leipzig - Dresden) in 5min. so for direction Leipzig u also can look for Polish cars starting its licence plates with D (lower silesia, DW: Wroclaw), O (opole), S (silesia, SK: Katowice), K (Kraków), R (Rzeszów)
