One male 40+, one big backpack, with a sign, a dry night. On my way from Lwów (Ukraine) to Wrocław (Poland), about 590 kms (successful). Not superb busy. No rain. I arrived here when it was already dark (20:00). Initially I was planning to go with my previous ride to Opole. But I decided to risk and it paid off. Normally I thumb only. But since it was dark I walked around with a sign "WRO" in my hand and I asked people. After 12 minutes the 4th asked driver agreed to take me to Wrocław. He was superb kind. On the way to Poznań he changed his plans and instead bypassing Wrocław on a highway (AOW), he went through Wrocław.

On the next day I decided to take the chance at the next bus stop in place from which you can hitchhike only toward Warsaw and Łódź as traffic to Poznań goes of right before this spot. This time I got really lucky as well I got ride on first service station on S8 almost instantly

Tried to get towards Warsaw but only two cars stopped and all of them were going towards Poznań and when it became little bit late I was forced to abort hitchhiking and start looking for places for camping

I tried with sign "Świecko" For like 2 hours, no luck getting past Poznań. I switch the sign to Poznań, get a ride straight to Berlin. XD

Maybe I just got lucky, but this is a great spot towards Łódź and presumably Poznań. Cars go slowly, stop for the traffic lights, can clearly see you, and there is a good place to stop. But I would really advise having a sign, because people go in many directions.

Mostly local traffic or heading to Poznań, if you want to go south from there I suggest taking a ride to a bigger car stop further down on the S11 road, where I headed as well.

People are only going west, ok spot to get out of Poznań. Just water and a toilet tho, got a ride to the next big gas station. Take the 729 bus from Ogrody to Dopiewiec and than walk for 20 minutes to it (the MOP is fenced so be prepare to jump over it).

Well, this place is not this attractive anymore. It's possible to get a ride here, but the road is under construction and barely someone will stop here/almost no drivers here as it's not allowed to stop here. But I see no other spots to catch autostop to Poznań in this location, think I just got lucky.

We were trying to get a ride to Poznań, got someone to drop us off at Wrocław. Just came up to some polish car (they didn’t speak english tho)

We're not sure if it was here or slightly further down the road where our driver kindly dropped us off, but wherever it was, the bus stops along the road make a good spot for hitchhiking. We got a ride to Poznań in 45 minutes.

Good position to stop a car too Poznań and Warsaw too

I hitchhiked many times from there. Three times I managed to go directly to where I travelled (Poznań once and Wrocław twice). That spot is extremely fortunate for me.

Lots of Polish traffic obviously. We got a truck to Poznań in 20min.

managed to find a car to A2 quite fast (15 min), was holding Poznań sign. Good spot, u can stand on the bus stop.
