Caught a ride with a Ukrainian man on a Polish truck, who was driving from Jõhvi to Warsaw. It was very nice and warm in his truck after a long and wet hike in the bog. And he also gave me his wife’s homemade food. So a very nice drive back home!

Not too much traffic but it does go to Warsaw

Probably the best place to get out of Białystok in direction Warsaw. For some reason no one picked me up for an hour and a half, I gave up for the night then came back in the morning and got a ride to a gas station in 20 minutes

A lot of cars (most of them to Bauska and riga) and trucks (frequently to Tallin and poland). I caught a nice man who went to Ukraine, and left me in warsaw. One of the best spot Nearby riga

I was waiting at this place with the sign: Suwalki, there is a good place for stopping because there is a stop for trucks with carwash, restaurant, gas station. It was in the morning Sunday and there was not so much cars but after 20 min, one driver saw me and my sign and he stopped, I said that I go to Poland, he said that he go to Warsaw and I said that I need only to the ELK city and we went well.

I think this is the best spot towards Katowice after they finished all new roads constructions. For sure spots in Warsaw are worse than earlier. Got a ride to Katowice in about 25min on early Monday morning. Reachable with 733 bus.

Perfect spot to get out of Warsaw - waited only 3 minutes with Ostrów sign.

Most traffic is local. I was advised to stand on the highway instead of the gas station. Eventually I was offered a ride by someone who wasn't even planning to go to Warsaw, just decided to help me since I was there for a long time.

Had luck, but if you are in a direction of Warsaw and you ask around, people will take you at least to the first gas station on the highway (10 km). Which is a good one with McDonald's.

Years ago on my first trip i got a trucker stop here in the middle of the night and took me to Warsaw. No shade, no facilities, just visability and plenty o’room to stop for even the bigest trucks

We got extremely lucky and found a car to Warsaw. It helped probably that it was the last day of the Easter holidays

Enough place to stop, but for over two hours no one did. We caught a ride from a gas station near by and acknowledged that this road is no longer used for transit between Warsaw and Cracow since the new highway was built.

good spot both to Warsaw and west towards Poznan! busy gas station, easy to get there from the city with a bus. (summer 2023)

First service station after Warsaw on route to Lublin. Probably only reasonable way to get here is to be driven here by a driver

Good spot to Warsaw

Bus stop on the road going to Marki, close to S8 road going north from Warsaw. Couple, ~25yo, summer sunny morning. Hitchhiked with "S8" sign. Recommend it. Catched a lady going north, to Wyszków.

Duo, m/f Sunday morning Fine spot for going west. Thumbed at the exit for 15 minutes, then we split and I decided to try with a sign next to the highway. Technically it's highway but theres an extra lane to pull over on, weird design but got us a ride straight to Warsaw (sign said warsaw)

reasonably good spot for going east to Warsaw and south towards Wroclaw. shit for west. we hitched for 2+ hours, many people stopped but they were going to warsaw or doing shorter distances south. cars drive fast but slow down before the turn and have plenty of roadside space to stop.

Great spot, got a ride all the way to Warsaw from the second car I asked. Quite annoying to get to though.
