Another try there, 2 h to get a ride. My boyfriend and I were going direction Coimbra, another hitchhiker we met on the station - to Santiago de Compostela. The two of us managed to find a ride from a driver going to Braga, who also agreed to take the other hitchhiker. Speak, speak, speak with the drivers, be as polite as you can, they might not be very familiar with the idea of hitchhiking, but when addressed personally in the right way they are very friendly in majority of the cases.―Ewelinalucy, May 2015

Really good place for hitch hiking north because a lot of people come to IKEA, I got a ride in a half hour who was going to Braga and from there I kept hitching all the way to France.―Anonymous, October 2013

This is my home town :) If you want to get to Braga, this is the perfect spot. 20 mins should be enough.―Anonymous, March 2013

We didnt have good luck and actually would disadvise that place as people running the station threatened to call the cops, and even though it is busy, not many trucks and mainy people going to Braga.―Jorgegalicia, December 2012

Very good spot to hitchhike north (to Braga, to Galizia [Vigo, Santiago]...). Take the train to So Frutuoso and walk 800m to the gas station in the A3. You'll have to look for the good place to climb over the fence. Make sure no one sees you!―Anonymous, June 2012

Lots of traffic, safe place to pull over...but I waited over 2 hours for a ride...try holding a sign for Braga, then go on from there maybe...rating: 2/5
