Essa foi a mais rápida e certeira do dia, um casal muito bacana, ela portuguesa e ele inglês, me levaram até próximo ao centro do porto. Posto muito bom pra caronar. Chegando ali fui de encontro ao meu amigo Gabriel, na verdade Luana, a amiga caroneira, encontrei em Lisboa, foi mal. Gabrielzão ciclo viajante. E daí começou o drama de saber como ir barato a Eslováquia pra voluntariar com o I@E e também onde deixar a mochila que o Andrew me deu na África do sul. Acabei voltando a Lisboa e deixei a mochila com a amiga angola Magdalena, como não consegui voltar a Portugal desde então, minha amiga Anki, que foi faze residência artística, levou pra mim de volta ao Br. Obrigado a todos.

A primeira placa que usei na saída de Lisboa foi Santarém e peguei uma com uns caras que iam até Torres, foi muito boa e estratégica, porque depois deste pedágio usei uma placa indicando pra Leila, e antes desta cidade tem esse excelente posto de gasolina pra pegar pra Porto. Peguei carona com um caminhoneiro ucraniano indo até Figueira da voz, e por mais que eu quisesse conhecer mais Portugal e enrolar um pouco mais, tinha poucos dias até meu voluntariado no congresso universal de esperanto. E minha amiga caroneira Luana estava esperando por mim em Lisboa. Um dia eu volto a Portugal, quem sabe. E o caminhoneiro também me deu uma "coca zero vegana". Bebi. Sorry.

Easy to get a ride to Porto National with a sign ( 5min )

Long waiting time (like everywhere on our route trough portugal) but definitly possible to get the ride from here to Lisbon. More people showed us that they go north - direction Porto. We tried different places on N234 from Mealhada but this spot after the rondo and before pay-gates was so far the best.

Spot 10/10 was just walking out to the Highway with my sign out, got a ride all the way to Porto with a free lunch and a trip to a fortress city on the spanish portugese border

Wort place to go to Portugal. All spanish people, you know... A old french couple took me to Vilar Formoso. In Vilar I couldn't hitchhike more and I had to take train to Guarda and then to Porto.

3 cars stopped but they were going to Porriño or somewhere closer. We put Tui (we were going to Porto) and didnt have to wait long to go there

We were super lucky that day. We thought of going by train but before we gave ourselves chance with hitchhiking. A car stopped in 2 minutes and took us directly to Porto

We wanted to go to Porto but then decided to change to Valença and we waited just 2 minutes. Then, from Valença we caught another car to Porto

Searching hitch to croatia from close porto (Portugal)

In summer crowded place with a lot of ppl heading west of Spain or Portugal (mainly Porto). Out of the season maybe not that good place. After few minutes I found a couple who give me a lift to Guimaraes.

Got here atlike 11pm, Hotel is expensive and when I walked south to see if I could wild camp I was greeted by big guard dogs on premise barking at me, so I gave up on that idea and went to see if i could catch a ride. Luckily an amazing trucker pulled up and got me to porto im the night haha

If you go south, better ask only for rides to Viana. From there it's easier to go to Porto. This spot got me a ride compared to the one on the south of the town

I was trying to get a ride to Viana/Porto... But too much local traffic, or bad luck (: decided to walk to the other side of the village where is a connection to the highway and got a ride there.

I was dropped off here coming from Spain. But at this spot only 2 cars going back to Spain stopped for me, noone in the direction to Porto. So I took the local train to help me.

Try not to get dropped off here. It's indeed a spot, but on the highway and the cars go really fast here. The parking is closed btw so not a valid rest stop really. (Sign: Porto)

Not the busiest in terms of cars but bunch of trucks. Waited for just over 3 hours at this station. Asked around, stood at the exit, tried the highway too. Eventually a truck stopped at the exit and agreed to take me to Porto.

Signs in general don’t seem to have worked for me so when I started asking people through Google translate I had much better results. Did this from 9:30am and at 11:20 a man was going to Fatima and said he can take me. March 8th during raining time and still all good. I’m sure you could find people straight to Porto or Coimbra but I wasn’t lucky enough

We saw another pair of hitchhikers immediately find a lift to Porto so I think we just had less luck. We got a lift to Tordesillas with some persuasion.
