perfect place going towards oradea

good spot do debrecen/oradea

Got dropped off there on my way to Oradea, decided to keep hitchhiking into the city and I was picked up pretty much immediately. Huge runoff so cars can stop easily

Cars are going a bit fast but they have to slow down for the traffic lights anyway, good for going north in direction Oradea

Amazing spot to go east! We met two guys there who wanted to go to Cluj, they were gone within 20 minutes. Then we waited for another 20 and had a direct ride to Oradea

Spot is good plenty of good speed traffic and an ok amount of space to stop. Drivers on this road ask for money so try to ask when you’re getting in or try to find non local cars my driver tried to make me pay €15 to go to Oradea so I got out early.

Looks great, and had a sign reading Oradea, but a lot of local traffic and no one waswilling to stop for me. I resorted to taking bus M51 (that doesn't show on Google Maps) to Gilau and try there.

seems like a good spot, but nobody stopped for almost 2 hours, eventually got ride to Oradea

beautiful place. we were just before gas station in Slovakia. 2hrs. than moved here. one big family in 2 cars took use to Oradea directly!

Valid for Oradea in general: Since the motorway bypass opened, it is much more difficult to get in any direction. for Cluj, get to the bypass close to Osorhei

Its a good spot just infront of the train station. There was a lot of cars but not lot of them went in our direction. One guy saw us turned around and took us directly to the Oradea

The traffic is way smaller than in Oradea - especially if you are looking for a long distance ride. I catch a truck directly to Poland, but I was a girl alone and usually I wait around 5-10min. The gas station just before the border is great for spending the night btw

road with almost no place to stop except pathwalk, but its a main road to slovakia, hungary and romania. Romanian truck stopped and took me straight to Oradea.

This is the sweet spot for rides towards Oradea. Used a BH (Bihor) sign

I waited at the end at the exit of the gasstation to the motorway (that way i could try thumbing for both cars and all the trucks) with a sign for Szolnok, not many seemed to go that direction… finally though, i got a truck all the way to Oradea (Romania) :)

Didn't event get out of the previous car, and the next one was waiting for us. Guy was very friendly and took us all the way to the Hungarian border (Oradea)

Did get a ride fairly easy, started at half past four p.m. and by five were on the way. There is enough space to stop if you want to. It's a good spot to catch workers leaving towards Oradea. hitched with no sign

If you start early enough (sunrise) it wont be so crowded, Look like a traveler with a Backpack and a Shield and its easy enough to get a ride to Oradea for free. If the driver enjoyed your company he might even drop you at the Border to Hungary if you ask politely!

With patience and some Luck you can get a ride to Oradea, Maybe Cluj. Much more traffic going to Arad though. If you are heading to the Northern part of Romania, consider going via Arad, once you're in Ro hitching will go much faster!
