Good spot direction sarajevo at the entrance of the highway. Not a lot of space to stop but cara go slow. Got a ride from a guy on his way to belgrade in 5 min (solo male hh at 12:30)

Got dropped here by my ride and took a bus to sarajevo centre. This is a good spot to go towards belgrade, cars coming from the coast pass and the A1 pass by here

Great spot for hitching out of Belgrade north. There is quiet a lot of traffic, mostly local though. Easy to get a ride to a gas station or toll station on A1 northbound somewhere near Belgrade from which you can then hitch hike towards Novi Sad and Hungary. We were 2 guys, used Novi Sad sign and got a ride to Stara Pazova toll station.

We were 2 guys. A lot of cars passing through, they are going slow so they can clearly see you. When we were there, it was the middle of July so must of the cars were families going home from vacation so cars were full. After like 2 hours we declined 1 ride to Gevgelija. After another 2 hours we finally got a ride and it was all the way to Belgrade, we had a sign Serbia. Before we also tried with sign Skopje.

this is goo place where you can ask people while they wait on the traffic light. Usually it is great toward pay tolls for both east toward Slavonija and Belgrade or toward Hungarian border

Hopeless place if you go towards Novi Sad. Every single driver that was willing to pick me up, headed westwards or just few kilometers away from Belgrade. After 3h45m I gave up.

Autokomanda is a solid place to hitch out from Belgrade in direction of Nis. A ‘Rampa’ sign helps a lot.

So, I got dropped right in front of this bridge. I would say that the best tactic here is to cross border on feet and have a sign of where you want to go(In my case it was Beograd) and approach every car, as the line on the border gets pretty long.

In my case no one agreed, so I stood with the sign right after the border control and was feeling desperate because it was already dark, when the guys from the border saved me. They told me they were just hesitating to take me right before the border control, but after it they pick me up and took all the way to Belgrade. Total legends. One of them, named Igor even hosted me for a night at his place! Very good experience

A nice place, not so heavy movement (tuesday noon-afternoon), but rather easy to find someone going Belgrade or Novi Sad.

I've asked for a piece of cardboard at Petrol station so I had a pretty large sign and stood at the very beginning of the turn to this petrol station with it. That's a good spot to go towards Belgrade/Novi-Sad I feel just being unlucky.

Monday evening i waited like 3 hours for a ride to Belgrade. Therr was in general low traffic on the highway. Otherwise seems like a good place.

This spot was recommended to us by a local busdriver. We stood here for about half an hour, moved to a different spot for a while, then came back here. The ride took us almost immediately to Belgrade.

spot is around 100 meters after the last stop of the 3 and 9 bus. took us around 10/15 minutes to get a ride, good spot to go south, many cars going to belgrade. very easy for cars to stop, can recommend
