I hitchhiked with a sign "Granada" though if I had to wait longer I would have probably gone to the next exit from Alcalá, near Lidl, as it seems that there I could have had more options for a ride. It worked from here anyways, but most of the traffic here was just local.

I managed to get a ride from the stop sign, where this spot is located, but I believe asking around the gas station may be more efficient. I got my ride in the morning and during that time the station was kinda empty. I managed to get a ride to Alcalá, which I still found helpful. (Sign: "Granada, Alcalá")

I hitchhiked until evening in this spot. There is a restaurant with many people around (mostly local traffic though, and mostly heading direction Baena from the restaurant). But yeah, there is a slim sidewalk you can try to hitchhike at using a sign (I had "Granada" later added "Alcalá" too). The traffic going on the main road is relatively fast, but they can also notice you from afar. I think it's worth taking a short ride to the gasolinera before Alcaduete where I ended up, or trying to go to Jaén and then down (if you are heading to Granada). It's for sure not easy to hitchhike here in Andalucia.

The spot is okay, maybe if you are trying to get further to Granada, try to get to the next exit of Baena, as I felt that cars that were passing me were going only there. Sign: "Granada"

A spot on the main road connecting Córdoba with Granada. Some local traffic. I got taken to Baena, so not that far. Sign: "Granada" (and in small text also "en dirrección a Baena/Alcalá")

I got a ride while walking to this spot. Had a sign saying Granada. While it was quite empty petrol station, I think this is the nest way of going from Córdoba to Granada. If you are okay with getting several shorter rides. I found it easier than going on the highway where the people tend to stop for you less.

I stood in between the next entrance and exit on the roundabout than this point is. I got several interactions. Sign "Granada". But quickly I decided to walk more down the road, to the petrol station.

I haven't really hitchhiked from here, just passed it on my way to the petrol station down the road. If you go to Granada, I'd say this spot is way better than the roundabout. There's plenty of space to pull over, and the cars are still kinda slowed down from the roundabout.

I tried for 15 minutes here, but decided to walk couple more km, to the gas station at the national road going to Granada. Sign "Granada"

I hitched from here many times, sometimes alone and sometimes with a friend. Cars go East along the coast, many only to Maro but some further to Motril or even Granada. There's a big space for stopping safely. Locals are used to hitchers around here.

I have hitched from here towards Granada a few times, sometimes alone and sometimes with a friend. Usually the wait is 10-15 minutes.

I wanted to go to Granada and got to this spot by bus from Madrid Center, it's a petrol station with a restaurant. Almost all of the trucks are not going outside of the city, they stay in the industrial zone around here so I had to wait a long time. There's also not much traffic or cars to ask. But after 3,5 hours I got really lucky and found a guy that went all the way to Malaga, he dropped me off in the center of Granada, it was perfect! So if you plan some time, this is a nice spot to get further south.

~20 minutes to El Granada the spot has enough space for people to turn off, cars are moving fast and many cars but good spot overall

If you want to go to Granada, forget it the spot is dead. I waited 4 hours and not one car goes to Granada. If you want to go to Malaga really good spot a lot of people.

2 people. We had been waiting there for 3-4 hours. Lot of trucks stands there for a night. It should be easy to catch them, but for 2 people its hard. Many morrocan drivers. We had a cardboard saying „hacia francia” and one employee told us that we are loco xD. Then we changed it to „hącia Granada” and some crazy guys stopped on the highway without reading our paper. When you are solo - easy, comparing to other spanish stations. Shop in the gas stations is quite expensive (like 2,5e for a 1,5l bottle of water) and tap water is not drinkable. Better to make supplies before. We heard also about free showers for drivers, maybe its possible to manage it for poor hitchhiker!

Good spot because there’s a traffic light so the cars go slowly (also we were two girls), we went to Granada

A small gas station with not a lot of traffic and many people don't go far. Nonetheless, there are some tourists on this route and we (2) ended up finding a ride within 30 minutes or so to Murcia (could have gone further to Cartagena and continued the next day with them to Málaga). In the end we decided to visit Málaga and take a BlaBlaCar from there. The A7 is challenging to hitch-hike, because there are very very few service stations. If there are any, they are often off the highway. Had we not found a ride straight to Murcia, I think we might have been stuck there. However, if you want to go further (Granada, Málaga), try to find a ride that takes you at least to Granada. This will be hard to find, but probably worth it.

This place seems to be a good spot, because there is a place to stop, so I stood here with a cardboard "DIRECCIÓN GRANADA." Although the distance was short, unfortunately it was not my lucky day. I waited a total of 4 hours (four times an hour each) and was unable to find a ride to my destination. If you hitchhike here, arm yourself with a lot of patience. I also recommend catching a hitchhike a little lower down, where cars are not going so fast yet. One driver stopped there before, but he only drove 17 km. In addition, a family stopped and wanted to take me for money. Maybe you guys will have more luck.
