A reasonable option when going from Len to Guadalajara, or Aguascalientes.

Cars go by really fast, but it's the most important route in between Mexico city and Guadalajara, the two biggest cities in Mxico, so, although you might have to wait a little bit, the next ride might take you all the way.

Militar check point makes people feel safe about stoping, there is usually people asking ride to Puerto Vallarta, and Tepic. There is a Guadalajara Bus Route that can take you here, is signs "Bosque" It also leaves you in the entrance to the Bosque Primavera, great place for camping.

The only petrol station between Madrid and Guadalajara. Not very busy.
We had a lift to Zaragoza.

It's entrance no 55 to motorway. Good visibility, cars are driving quite slow. Unfortunately, we had been waiting there for about 1,5h and found nothing! Many drivers were hostile.
We found a guy on a nearest petrol station and he gave us a lift to the another, better petrol station on the motorway, near Meco (between Guadalajara and Madrit).

Petrol station, Galp. It can be access from the highway Madrid to Zaragoza. It has few traffic, but Its best I found out of the city and that could be reach by public transport+on foot.

To get here, take a cercanas (metropolitan train) from Atocha, in direction to Alcal de Henares/Guadalajara. Jump off at Alcal de Henares, from then take the bus 9 (frecuency:30minutes) and ask the driver to tell you to jump off before passing over the higway. From there, 10 minutes walking.

Otherwise, go on foot from Alcal de Henares train station, is 30 minutes on foot.

The petrol station is in a industrial State, so better use it on weekdays, there will be more activity. Ask the drivers to drop you on the next petrol station, even if they dont go a lot further.
