People have some space to stop here, further they don't, but it's not really a good spot, we waited more than two hours with a sign, to get a ride to Zaragoza. I don't think there is a much better spot for Zaragoza from Pamplona though.

We were two going to Barcelona and had to ask around the gas station for not even 10 minutes before getting a ride straight to the city, worth the effort of getting a bus our of Zaragoza to here.

As always directly before I wanted to give up and change the spot the wonderful Julia picked me up and gave me a ride to Zaragoza.
Not too many cars passing, probably best in the morning. Good view and mostly good for stopping (September 2023)

Good spot if you want to go to Bilbao. A lot of cars go there. But we wanted to go south (Burgos, Madrid). After 3hours We had a ride to Zaragoza.

Arrived here with one friend at 8pm trying to get a ride to Zaragoza. There are a lot of truck drivers but almost all of them stay here for a while to sleep and visit the local strip club. This gas station shuts at 10pm so barely any traffic after that hour. Eventually had to spend a night sleeping in an abandoned house behind the station because the hostel was booked out. Luckily, next morning got a ride from a truck driver almost directly into Zaragoza. There are also people going to Barcelona and Madrid from here. You need to be friendly, pro-active and ask around. Otherwise you can be stuck here for a while.

The red light lasts really long, you can ask to almost everyone sho passes.
I was headed to Zaragoza/Madrid but and asked for anything in that direction, I found someone who took me to a good spot in a gas station inside the highway.

5 minutes waiting to get a direct right to Logroño, better use a sign since it goes both directions (Logroño-Zaragoza)

Not so good place for me. There was really lot of cars, but you do not know which one is going in your direction, so you have to show your thumb all the time.
After one hour I had a pain in the arm and then I finaly found a driver to Zaragoza.

Not so good place because cars from main road are very fast and they do not have a big place for stop.
Cars from direction Zaragoza have good place for stop and they are slowing in front of crossroad, but not too many cars from ZRG when I was there.
After running between two spots I took a ride from driver from Zaragoza.

ticket from barcelona center (3 zones) - 3,40 €
not a good place to go towards zaragoza/lleida, we found 4 other people trying to hitchhike this direction at the station for more than two hours (most of the cars go to valencia), so we moved to A2 where it was easier.

Sagunt

A big station known by truckers and visited by tourists and families.
Best place to hike north (Zaragoza or Barcelona and France) from Valencia.
(This is exact location of Sagunt, direction north.)

Getting here requires some time and knowledge:

Go from Valencia to Puol(Puzol) by...
A) a yellow bus 115A (1,55) or
B) a train C6 from Station Nord (around 20min, 2,65).
Once in Puzol, ask for the roundabout (redonda) on the "carretera de Barcelona". Here is a cheap supermarket. Go on north on CV306. Pass under a bridge, go on 50m where is a small road on the left with a "stop" sign. Take it. On the righ side you have orange trees of Els arenas (with a little little swimming pool). The road takes you under a second bridge, than you go on 2km north along the highway on the left and mandarine and orange orchards on the right until you get to the Sagunt station.
Circa 40 minutes of walking (with supermarket and oranges, mandarines, cactus fruit, figs - depending on a season).

(Description is based on Amede74's note and Seminko's experience)

I think that's your best chance to get out of Zaragoza: You can approach the drivers directly, even though there aren't many that come in to take some petrol. Way better than waiting on the on-ramp though. Alas, I have know idea how to get here with public transport - maybe some local can help?

Bus goes sort of here...stay here, anything further is way to dangerous...cars drive too fast. Direction Madrid and Zaragoza should be fine - if going to Zaragoza, don't get stuck in Toledo but get dropped off at the Peaje before.
