Not the best spot, but at least cars drive slow and are able to stop. My ride was on his way to Kvissleby but was a big help by bringing me a little further on the E4 to Myre Diner. I had to wait for over an hour there (but would probably be faster if you had the guts to approach many people and ask for a ride) but then got a ride all the way to Gothenburg.rating: 3/5, wait: 30 min 👍, ride: 19 km ↓

Little space to pull over except a crappy bit of grass, but it worked! Hitching direct from the on ramp, ride in 15 mins north to Gothenburg. Boom. What was that about Sweden being crap for hitchhiking?rating: 5/5, wait: 15 min 👍, ride: 116 km ↑

Has space to pull over, good visibility, and low speed. For unknown 2 cars stopped but going not towards Gothenburg. Took the 2nd one to the on-ramp and hitchhiked from there.rating: 4/5, wait: 60 min 👍, ride: 2 km ↑

Direction north to OsloEarly August, Saturday morning. 1030 Snapparp 30min for ride to Gothenburg. There are locals, Norwegian numberplates also. Medium, good frequency of new arrivals. Sign said "Norr pĂĄ E6".
But I walked around and approached people.

Senseless. Barely cars go this direction. Not many grounds for car to pull by as well cuz it's just an entrance to the highway. Stay here back and forth for 3 hours try to get a ride down south but no luck. Take a bus instead to Gothenburg with €5.Try to avoid it if you get a ride to Sarpsborg get off to gas station before driving up to the exit, it will help

It's normal gas station on the way towards Helsingborg, Gothenburg, Stockholm. I got a lift there in the late afternoon, waited about 10 mins because of rain, then tried the first people going out from the gas station and asked them. I was lucky - they were from Luxembourg and going towards Stockholm. Spent with them 2 days and next day in the afternoon arrived in Stockholm. It's worth trying it, maybe better than to get into Helsingborg.―Saaaky, September 2016

It's a great spot, but it seemed most drivers are local, so if you go far it might be preferable to write Helsingborg and get of at Glumslöv petrol station. Waited 1 hour to get a ride to Gothenburg in the afternoon.―Plettelr, September 2016

Difficult to get a car because there is no spot for them to pick you up, but you can try. I didn't get a ride to Gothenburg so I went to other spot―Anonymous, June 2016

Not overly busy, but easy to reach from Gothenburg. Some people going south. Everybody able to leave you at the next gas station ~10 km south is helping.―Santa klaus, January 2016

Good spot as cars are slowing down. 15 minutes to get a ride to Gothenburg with a guy going to Malmo!―Isskaa, November 2015

Great place. Was offered a ride to Gothenburg within minutes but needed to go south, which just took me a few more.―Pletter, September 2015

Seems like a perfect place for shorter rides like Lund or Helsingborg. Standing with a sign saying "Göteborg" didn't get me anywhere in two hours. Eventually I changed to "Helsingborg" and got a ride within 20 minutes (to Gothenburg..)―Pletter, September 2015

Been here two times! Once going north to Gothenburg. That was in the summer of 2011 and I got a ride all the way after about an hour of asking people at both Preem and McDonald's. Just no luck. The second time was at about 1 or 2 pm on a sunny day in november. This time I was going south. Asked a few trucks but they were heading north, and most of the other cars as well. Got a ride after an hour to Halmstad!
I am not sure if there's a better spot - but a truck-driver recommended Rastplats Skrea Backe a bit further south. I'm going to try that the next time! This place works but is not ideal. Most of the cars seem to be going north.

I asked maybe ten to fifteen cars in the space of ten minutes and got a ride all the way to Gothenburg. Actually all the way to the door where I was going to stay for the night! It was dark, at around 5 or 6 pm in november. A lot of friendly drivers! Most of them going north this night though! Just keep asking. I would absolutely use this place again!―Amarant, November 2014

I highly recommend this place. It took me just 14 minutes to stop car which took me to Gothenburg. I was waiting cca 50 meters before gas station Statoil - left line goes to gas station and right line goes to highway. Place is safe. Bus to IKEA leaves from Vasagatan 12, not 13 how it is written above. It is big difference!―Robeno, September 2014

Got a ride within 10 min to Helsingborg (had a sign saying "Helsingborg"), which ended up taking me all the way to Gothenburg. From my experience of this place, don't try signs with Stockholm and distant cities, had no success with that for a long time. Gas station before Helsingborg is a good spot to switch rides if you wanna continue further north.―Pletter, June 2014
