Spot is perfect for Malmö. Arrived here in early August, on a Friday 20.00. tried for two hours then. No luck, low but reliable frequency. Mostly Swedes, and danish plus Germans. Went camping and tried in the morning. I hiked 2km away because of the highway noise, on the east side. Asking a farmer for a bed or barn crossed my mind. Crossing west is possible, there's an underpass if you go a little north.Glumslöv 9AM Saturday.
30min for offer to Snapparp. in the meantime I got 2x Stockholm and 1 offer to Helsingborg. I talked to people at the gas station, but carried a sign saying "Norr pĂĄ E6". Toilets are free and accessible until midnight I was told.

I was here in August on a Friday at about 4PM. 10min for a ride to Glumslov rest stop north of Helsingborg. Austrian guy was visiting his girlfriend in BĂĄsten.I think standing after the gas station is maybe better. I tried standing before, and it's mildly dangerous. Also, if a car goes to the gas station, you can't tell whether it's for you. Walking there and asking means you loose some cars. The cars come out over the space of 5-10min, a constant stream. After the gas station, halting is not perfectly easy but doable.

Good spot to go back on the highway to Goteborg. People are slow tanks to the roundabound and the one on the right band are going on your way. Lot of space to stop.Try to have someone that go AFTER Helsingborg.

It's normal gas station on the way towards Helsingborg, Gothenburg, Stockholm. I got a lift there in the late afternoon, waited about 10 mins because of rain, then tried the first people going out from the gas station and asked them. I was lucky - they were from Luxembourg and going towards Stockholm. Spent with them 2 days and next day in the afternoon arrived in Stockholm. It's worth trying it, maybe better than to get into Helsingborg.―Saaaky, September 2016

I was asking for a ride north, towards Helsingborg, there were just lot of German / Austrian cars going north, but filled with baggage thus unable to take me, lot of unfriendly locals, but lot of people going towards Copenhagen.
