Same driver that dropped me off here took me to another place in Mjölby after about 5 minut appart :D. Quite low traffic, but nice and safe spot. You can try asking at a nearby gas station/McDonald. Probabily a good spot for HH out of Norrköping, but ( in my opinion) I recomend to avoid Norrköping if you only passing through.rating: 3/5, wait: 5 min 🪧, ride: 79 km ↙

Saturday around noon. Easy to reach by underground. If you prefer to ask people you can do that at gas station. But it seem mostly Stockholmers stop there. I thumbed at on ramp with a sign simply saying SOUTH for about 30min. Good visibility, high traffic, low speed, quite little space to pull over (but who wants to take you can always manage). I took a ride with very nice fellow hitchhiker to Norrköping. Which I do not recomend if Norrköping is not your destination- not a good town to transfer I think.rating: 3/5, wait: 30 min, ride: 148 km ↙

This spot is pretty good. I got dropped off in the northern part of Norrköping, at a gas station around Östra Eneby, where I didnt get a ride and there wasn't a lot of traffic. A local recommended this spot to me, so I walked about 9km since I had the time anyway, and it was worth it, I got a ride asking people at the rest place behind the McDonalds after like 10 minutes, this was at 15:30 on a Friday.rating: 5/5, wait: 10 min

I arrived here on a monday on January the 5th. The sun was shining and there was no snow outside. Stood here between 8 am and noon. But do not be alarmed by that! There needn't be that much waiting! The day I was here it was a bridge day, and the cars who would make the long journey from Stockholm to, say, Malmö, probably left the day after my visit.
I asked a lot of cars, every car that pulled in to be more exact, except the ones who were going north for sure that pulled of the E4's (i.e. the highway) northern lane. Asked a handful or more of truckers also. Everyone that I asked were heading north, most of them to Norrköping, a few to Stockholm and some just in a north-direction.
At about 11 am more cars were coming in, and I turned down a ride to Jönköping that I didn't feel safe about. At noon I managed to, at the same time (magical powers), find two separate cars that were going to Jönköping. Since my ability to split myself in two hasn't been fully developed I kindly went along with one of the rides, but I must say that I felt very safe with both of the companies from the smaller conversations we had.
This is a good spot to stand at. I'd stand here again if I'm in Norrköping. A driver told me that he usually pulled over here when he was going from Stockholm to Malmö and recommended it as the best place to be standing at. Recommended by the drivers themselves in other words!

If you are in Norrköping and want to head out here, a sign reading "Klinga" would suffice, I think. The interchange is named Trafikplats Klinga, which translates Interchange Klinga. The person who gave me a ride here grew up in Norrköping and was talking to a friend trying to figure out where this place was and then said "Oh. Aha. It's Klinga" with a tone that gave me the impression that you know what I'm talking about if I say (or have written) Klinga if you are from Norrköping.

Ask people! This is in general a much easier way to find rides in Sweden. People are usually very friendly here if you are just polite, say "Sorry to bother you, but I'm trying to find a ride to..." or something like that, with a smile.

The journey from Stockholm takes approx. 2 hours with car to Norrköping. That is good to have in mind if you are trying to find rides that are heading to Jönköping or longer. Jönköping is good place to be dropped at if you have a more southern destination. Accept rides to Jönköping if you can! And be dropped off at Motell Vätterleden (with a Preem petrol-station) if possible. This is before Jönköping, but there is more traffic, you stand along the highway, trucks pull in here, etc. etc. etc. In Jönköping it's quite hard to hitchhike if you are going further.

Also got ride to Norrköping from here within 45 min (Sign saying "Norrköping"). I'd say it's the best place to jump off and switch cars if you're heading north on the E4.―Pletter, June 2014

two petrolstations, statoil and OKQ8. Alot of cars, many of them heading north for example Stockholm. Hitched from here twice with no problems. Close walk from central Norrköping and the centralstation is always positive.rating: 3/5

rest area, pull-off with a Mcdonalds, petrolstation(statoil) and a truckstop. Non walkable from norrköping, but really good if you get droped here. Cars are heading in both directions, south and north. Very easy to get ride from here :)rating: 5/5
