Traffik very low due to day after Midsommar, roughly one car every two minutes. Was plenty of space to stop, but most (interesting) traffik went north. Don't think it's worthwhile, because even on busy days, this place might become too dangerously crowded. Also, sadly there ain't a point where just Stockholm traffik passes, so many cars aren't even in your interest anyways.

Mostly friendly people, especially the truck drivers were very kind. Little traffik that day, took some huge pauses inbetween, tho seems like a good spot easily reachable from Stockholm. Hitchhiked to Avesta, but realised Enköping was a more reasonable intermediate destination. I believe just a guy going to work.

Many cars heading towards Stockholm. If you want to take a route other than to Stockholm, it is very hard to find a ride.

Highly recommending this spot. Everyone goes towards Stockholm from this roundabout and there’s easily time and room to stop your car. It’s 9 o’clock so there’s lots of work traffic.

Waited pretty long with no shade -sunny day- but got a ride all the way to Göteborg! I was going to Stockholm and could have gone to Gävle with my ride, but changed my plans to going to Göteborg when I found out he could drive me all the way there :)
Many people heading South. If you have the guts to ask for a ride and don't mind being turned down, you'll probably get a ride sooner. Also a truck rest area so long ride garanteed if you want to go with a truck.

Much traffic going north (Sweden, Denmark, Norway). I was going back to Norway, asked a Norwegian driver, but his car was full. Then after 10 minutes a girl with a small dog came to me and asked me "Hi, What is your story?". Hehe then she asked me if I had a driving licence and if I drank alcohol that day. So she was going to Gøteborg and then to Stockholm. She asked me if I would like to join her and help her driving to Copenhagen. So I became her driver that day and did it to Copenhagen.

At that gas station you should even use "Oslo" sign :))) it is what I exactly did - I had 3 signs, i.e. Bremen, Hamburg, Oslo.

This spot is very reliable to provide long rides towards Göteborg/Oslo when you're trying to go towards Stockholm, and the other way around. Waiting usually pays off though ;-)

I was hitchhiking in the night and guys picked me up at 22:00. They drove me for 30 km. it’s probably one of the best spots on the way to the South and Stockholm. Cars have to slow down in this part of the road so they notice you every time.

Oh damn was I lucky! I was going with a sign to Karlstad along the road and a van instantly stopped by. Took me almost directly to Stockholm! The place is overall pretty nice, a lot of space to pull over for the whole road + a bus stop. You will definitely get a ride here

Arrived here in early August, on a Friday 20.00. tried for two hours then. No luck, low but reliable frequency. Mostly Swedes, and danish plus Germans. Went camping and tried in the morning. I hiked 2km away because of the highway noise, on the east side. Asking a farmer for a bed or barn crossed my mind. Crossing west is possible, there's an underpass if you go a little north.

Glumslöv 9AM Saturday.
30min for offer to Snapparp. in the meantime I got 2x Stockholm and 1 offer to Helsingborg. I talked to people at the gas station, but carried a sign saying "Norr på E6". Toilets are free and accessible until midnight I was told.

Bad place. Bridge over the highway. End up there cause my previous car was going to Stockholm and me to gotenborg. But After 15 minutes (18pm) someone stop. Try to not get stuck there.

Early bird caught an enormous worm, got a ride not to Tornio or Haparanda but to GÄVLE 2 hours north of STOCKHOLM. Traffic lights just before this bus stop and a Shell gas station aswell. There is a bus from Oulu that stops at this bus station, highly recommend. A local suggested skipping Kemi and taking a ride all the way to Tornio, because many travel to Ikea Haparanda with an empty car and Kemi is nit very friendly for hitchhiking.
