Literally the second person that we asked to go to Bern took us, there is a lot of cars

Number plates in CH begin with the two letters representing the Canton the car is from. As I was going to Bern, I flagged down the first BE plate I saw and got an easy ride.

Really bad spot to take back the highway towards Bern. I had to walk and took a car that brought me at an entrance of highway in the 'ext village

Scatchi place bcs riders dont get a view (I had sing wit Bern on it) but after cca 15 minits somon stoped me safely

It was raining when my sister and I tired, I told myself I would give up when my cardboard sign to Bern disintegrated. It took 40 mins some lovely old man brought us an umbrella. Caught an expensive train instead :/ good luck peeps !!

Wanted to get to Bern, after 50 minutes we got a ride to solothurn. On our way back we wanted to get to Freiburg Germany, after 1 Hour only 1 German car drove by, most germans get fuel right behind the border i guess. Eventually we got a ride to airport Basel where we didnt even have to wait 5 Minutes to get to Freiburg.

Sat here next to the Dog WC, many cars passing by going to bern or further

Harder than one would think to get to Bern. A lot of people going in that direction but not all the way (e.g. Solothurn, Olten). Eventually took a ride with a cool guy going to Solothurn who bought me Kebab before dropping me off at a rest station pretty close to Bern

Picked up in short order by a lesbian couple going to Luzern. We had a great time together, we stopped for an hour so they could show me the city, got dinner, and then they drove me up to a rest stop so that I could continue to bern

not crazy busy, with most traffic to bern. if like me you're trying to go to basel, it's tricky but look out for lucerne (LU) license plates. some international cars (D/I/A/B/NL).

Really good spot to go to Lausanne or Bern. Got a ride to Bern in December 2025 around 10am

There is a space (something like a bus stop bus no bus stopping) for cars to stop just before the Sportweg tram station, cars going not too fast. Got a ride to Bern with a Bern sign in like 45min. It seems to me that it's better here than at the traffic lights, because cars were always arriving when it's green... And you're just in front of the Finanzmuseum...

Good spot for Direction Zürich / Bern.

Got drop off there, probably hard to get there by foot. Found a new ride instantly in Direction of Bern.
