Brilliant place to hitch towards Dorchester. There's a nice pull in area and traffic is slow off the mini-roundabout.
From Dorchester, you can easilly head towards Bournemouth and Poole.

This spot is a last resort to go direction Poole - Southampton, you have to stand behind the fence and hope that the traffic get so dense that the cars can not speed
