I stayed at "Maison de Jeunes" (youth hostel or dortoir Dar Chabab) for the night, it is 500da (2euros). The owner told me go up to the mosque, turn right, walk straight up to the main road. I started hitchhiking and walked till the end of the houses so a man picked me up and drove till tunisian border. My third and last solo hitchhike within 2 months in Algeria.
I truly hope to inspire many nomads to try experience this huge country!

Direction Béchar and anywhere north. All people in Taghit (very touristic city) know about this gas station as a place where many cars stop before leaving. So you can walk here and wait from the gas station side under trees shadow. If it doesn't work, take a minibus back to the city and move into a departing one. Cost 150da (60cent).
This was my first hitchhike try within 2 months around Algeria.

Very good spot to hitchhike. Direction Oran, many cars passing by, coming slowly and have place to stop. you just have to stand on the side there with your sign.

To get to this spot you can take the Bus ETU from GRABA to one of these vilages (SIDI BRAHIM, BOUBARNAS, SIDI HMADOUCHE) and ask to stop in "Police Rond Point Roché" (15 DZD) or you can take a taxi which will coast you 70 DZD from any place in the city "2016"

Probably the best place to get a ride to Oran or further, you just have to stand on the side there with your sign and you'll get easily a ride. I was with my friend and we had to wait for 1 minute, there is a lot of cars passing by this road.

El Bahia, that's the best place to hitchhike from Oran to everywhere (not for Tlemcen and Ain Temouchent), you just have to stand on the side there with your sign indicating the city you want to go and you'll easily get a ride

Near the roundabout. Split between traffic from Saidia to Berkane and Oujda. We were heading towards Oujda.

Small, not great looking dirt layby with good visibility and traffic slowed by the roundabout. Had to climb over a ditch to reach it, but the 5th car stopped and took me to vejle, perfect english speakers. Thumbs only. Takk Denmark!

Easy to start here, but you should find a direct ride to your destination, especially to Bizerte. Locals recommended to start n the morning. 2 guys took me to Ras Rajel where i waited and gave up till a minibus took me to Nefza. There i waited 1.5 hour, gave up and took another minibus to Bizerte.
Besides, this spot is just at the city's hostel gate "Maison de Jeunes Tabarka". 10 tnd for locals, 12 for algerians, 18 for other souls.
I came here the day before with a 2 rides from El Kala, Algeria. Feel free to ask for advice about that huge country 🌄
