Good spot, last place u can really HH if going to Lithuania aha. Like the 4th car took me, but it genuinely took about 15,20 mins for 4 cars to go past.

Good spot, just extremely empty, not many cars going to Lithuania anymore :/ Thankfully a nice Belarusian truck driver stood with me and flagged down another truck

The second person I asked was going to Minsk and was happy to take me. I would advise to learn Russian though. This gas station is fine. Everyone who goes after the border uses this for fuel, otherwise a better spot would be shown in the previous reviews just after the border.

You can get there by bus 1 from the railway station. Cars go quite slow. Plenty of space to pull over. I caught a truck in 5 min. No need to go further because the road dives down after this spot and you won't be visible.

It really depends. Once I got a ride pretty fast and once I waited for a couple of hours. I don't see any point in walking further.

There's a point in going to this place because a lot of cars actually turn at the crossroads either left or right.

Met two Russian Hitchhikers here who told me they had already waited 10 hours spread out over two days. We got a ride for the three of us within another hour though

Нужно успеть показать водителю, что тебе хотя-бы до Кольца. Либо пройти пешком эти 3 км, если есть время.

Place of hitch-hiking start from Lida to Minsk. Often you are given a lift to the road junction.

Okay, it seems like I’m the first person in 10 years to do this hitchhike so I will try and be as thorough as possible. I started early in the morning after sleeping in the airport. I walked here and I used a sign from the nearby supermarket that said Belarus. A sign is very necessary. After 45 minutes, I was picked up by a Polish Belarusian Father and son and as for the border, it was completely fine. Took about 2-3 hours in total. I have a Ukrainian stamp And it was still fine. EU passport, you can still buy insurance at the border. Still a good spot

Lot of cars from Belarus or Lithuania and trucks which are driving the direction to east border of Poland. Best spot when u want to get through Warszawa.

I hitchhiked a bit further at the border itself. It was Tuesday noon in August 2016. There was no queue there at all, in fact, the border was quite desolate. Nobody ever demanded any kind of permission from me nor did anyone try to get money out of me. Though I must admit this permission-for-border-areas thing does exist (in Russia and Belarus for sure) but unless you encounter police, nobody will check it. Just hitchhike to Mamonovo - it's not that difficult :).

BP gas station with a parking lot for trucks. Lots of opportunities - Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus...

Some trucks will take you here before going customs. All the cars to Minsk are going this way. Just walk 200 m on the way to border. Remember, you can cross border with Belarus only in car.

There is no entrance to Belarus on your feet, only for cars. Really hard to find a car to cross a border here. People just do not want to take you here, notwithstanding the fact that even border officers never mind about you looking for a car. Got help from one russian guy (he was standing in queue in the opposite direction) who persuaded belarusian guy to take us with him. Try to find car BEFORE the border.

A lot of cars, but if you're going to Belarus make sure, you got car straight there, because you could cross border only in car. Most belarusian (lithuanians usually do not visited Belarus) drive elite cars and do not want take you) Waited 40 mins and got car to half-way to the border. Got some problem after, looking for a car to cross the border. (Time: about 5 p.m.)

Its an international road from Belarus to Romania, so there are a lot of traffic. North - Ternopil, south - Czernivtzi.

If you are traveling from Kiev to Chernigov or Belarus and you stopped in Brovary - you need to go to this place to go further. You need to get to the mall Terminal and pass it to the side out of town, there is a wide shoulder and is easy to catch the car. Also you can take the bus to this place from Kiev, so you will save time, since in Kiev is very difficult to catch the car. Just ask the bus drivers whether they should go to the shopping center Terminal.

Might be a good place to go toward Belarus. It would be quite easy to find a car just to cross the border. Some luck is required to catch a longer ride.

Here you can get fast local lift to Vilnius, or if you wait little bit longer you can find some truck as well - on this road there is a lot of trucks going from Poland to Belarus. But if you go for a bigger distance, you need to have a sign, as normally here is place just for a local hitch-hiking.

―Anonymous, July 2013

All the cars are going to Belarus. If you will have a sign in your hand and smile on your face then after some time somebody will finaly lift you.

Great spot! No cars at all and maybe one truck every 5 or 10 minutes (in winter) - but they stop for you. When you're going to Belarus make sure you get off before the road that leads to Chernihiv. Most trucks go straight to Belarus

Very good. If you want just go directly to the Baltic states or Russia, Belarus, Ukraine. It is a good spot to cath someone by asking or holding sign
