It took us 7 mins to get a ride to Brussels. We held a sign. It's the road just before the entrance to the highway towards Brussels/Antwerp centre. We were two girls at 9pm and got a very nice man take us.

Had a Bruge sign but a guy heading to Lille picked me up saying it would be easier to get to Calais that way.

I stood at the motorway entrance and got ride almost to Luxembourg city itself

Had a sign saying Brugge. Got a lift in 5-10 minutes. Good spot, the road is wide enough for cars to stop.

Had a sign saying Brugge. After 10 minutes got a lift to entrance to the highway. Good spot, lots of traffic, and space for them to pull in so long as all the parking spots aren't full.

Not to much traffic at Saturday but works good for Brussels direction

Heading to Bruges, had a sign saying Gent / Brugge. Waited 5 minutes before someone offered to take me to central Gent. Great spot, lots of traffic and lots of space.

Heading to Bruges, had a sign saying Gent/Gand. Waited about 30 minutes, 2 cars stopped offering lifts to Ronse/Renaix, the third took me to Oudenaarde. Not a super busy road but it's a good spot, lots of room for cars to pull in.

I tried to get a ride to UK for 9 hours with sign with big letters "UK" but failed so next day I decided to change direction and go to Luxembourg instead as I also would have little issue with getting local sim card as next day on which I would be buying it if I succeeded as it would be a Sunday and most stores for that would be closed so I thought that fuck it, this country is not worth that struggle. I leave the sign in bushes next to highway exit right after road from truck parking connects to road from gas station on right side of road so if somebody want to use it feel free and good luck to you all

big tip use a sign that says 'a little bit further' in the local language

Not many people were stopping. Maybe because I already made a sign for UK but idk. I still managed to get a ride to petrol station from which is apparently possible to hitchhike to the UK. We will se about that

Great spot, a lot of people stops. I was even offered ride to Paris but that wasn't on my way so I declined it. At first i stood at the place where road from petrol station and truck parking comes together but then police came and told me to move from there because that's apparently part of a highway. Then I moved little bit closer to the petrol station and got ride in my direction almost instantly

Still a great spot, even for long-range routes, even during weekend truck bans.

Asked 2 ppl for a ride to charleroi, then got a tour of namur and a paid for camping spot instead <3

Got a direct ride to Paris a lot of people going up north to Belgium and Netherlands

Got dropped here and went round asking the drivers if they were taking the ferry, with a sign saying France/Belgium. On my second round one agreed to take me with him to Belgium. He was going with Irish ferries and it was no problem to add a passenger, no-one even asked about it. He drove me until 2am, let me sleep in the van, then took me to a further junction the next morning.

asked a lot of trucks and cars. many go to germany and belgium, but didn't want to take me. hungary is easier

lucky dude got an offer to Belgium, that i could only wish for. at leuseni i spent 4 hours asking cars for any ride to central/western europe, but nothing worked. some truck drivers told me that I should have went to Iasi checkpoint.

surprisingly disappointing, maybe the A6 is better. free restroom and cheap baguette. found two guys from belgium who went to alpe d‘huez too.

I waited long, but think i was unlucky. Loads of traffic to belgium and france, very little to where i actually wanted to go: netherlands...

Couple hitchhiking. We caught a ride with a wonderful Ukrainian truck driver to northern France with a sign saying Belgium. Many families with very little space in their cars and many heading to Achen. Bit tiresome.

We got a lift from the ticket booth to the ferry and then asked a couple where they were heading once we started sailing. Luckily, they were heading to Belgium and took us to Bremen.

Two guys heading to Belgium, had a sign saying Nürnberg / Frankfurt. Took a while, tried standing by the exit and asking people as they arrived. Eventually found a Belgien car driving to Ghent, the guy let us stay in his cousin's apartment overnight then took us the rest of the way the next morning.

Found a ride asking, first guy that we talked to took us to the next big gas station before Belgium border. Not much traffic but enough to easily find.

Good traffic, we were heading to Belgium but eventually we accepted a short ride to Cambrai that would put us on the right path. Probably if we waited a bit longer we would find one directly to Belgium

The door was closed, I rang the bell and someone opened it. Met a girl also hitchhiking to Belgium, and very quickly we got a ride north.

A really good spot to get to France or Belgium

Lots of folks. Got offered a ride pretty quickly to Hasselt, which was halfway to the French Ardennes we were heading to. Still rejected it, gotta stay on that main highway. As always when here, we considered accepting a ride to Eindhoven Airport to luck into a ride to Belgium there. One day we’ll try it!

In this Dutch colony you will find some cars staying in Germany and a few cars going to Belgium.

Saturday in April, either the A8 or A9 was good for my route to Belgium. Most cars were full or drove into Munich. Eventually, a business man took me in direction of Ulm.

Just arrived and we found a car with 2 belgium women. Really kind of her. Pick us up directly to liege. Definetely a very good spot.

Fabulous spot for going towards UK, Belgium, Paris. One of my favourite petrol stations in Europe.

Good spot for Belgium or the Netherlands. Takes a second to find a ride but it makes sense to wait for a longer distance ride that takes you well in the direction you want to take.

Very quick wait. Maybe I was just lucky but happened to find lots of former hitchhikers through Belgium. My lift was going to Oostende but kindly took a detour to drop me in Bruges
