A van approached me right after the border offering to drive me to Phnom Penh. I said I had no money, and they gave me a ride for free.

Took bus number 6 to get here. I had a sign saying Siem Reap in both Khmer and Latin, and a guy picked up me on his motorcycle all the way there, which is surely some kind of record

Had a sign saying 20km and a tuk tuk accepted to take me for free all the way to the airport road

First car going to the airport stopped and took me to the bridge a bit before it so I could continue going west

Had a sign saying 20km and got a ride all the way to Steung Treng by guys who were going to pick up french tourists at the Laotian border the next day, so one of them spoke French.

To the Laotian border, I got a ride by minesweepers who where delivering armchairs to a village near the border

Not much shade, cars are driving relatively fast.

Good apot woth shadow lot of people go. We fpjnd a ride in 10 min

Not a lot a traffic and it was the end of the day. I walked a little bit and a motorbike stops. I did all the way to the city with him and he let me in a guest house 😊

The driver was going into the city and I wanted to stay in the main road, but I stayed a long way with him.

A car give me a lift to where he was going. Good spot, you can hide under the bridge if you need shadow, some smalls shops on the road in front.

A woman took me in her motobike to give me a lift until the airport cross she wasn't going there she just wanted to help me and was very useful 😊.

Long time walking but I didn't hitchhike directly because I'm not really comfortable to hitchhike when there is a lot of houses and people everywhere. A woman living in the road just give me a lift for 1 or 2km to help me 😊. If you're confortable with people and urban area it's a good spot ( lot of shops, shadow...)

Lots of taxis and tuktuk stops but some cars too, just be patient.

First car stops directly, he was going back to Phnom Penh and I was going in Battambang direction so he let me here just before the cross road.

Super good spot, shade for most of the day from a big banner/billboard over the road. Heaps of room for cars to pull in. I think it’s better than what is suggested on hitch wiki. Had to fend off a few taxi but got a lift direct to Battambang

Kinda regular Cambodian traffic, decent spot but sometimes cars from the north road block traffic from seeing you. Had a sign for Poipet. Got lucky and an already crowded bus picked me up.

This spots a bit tricky depending on the time of day. Unfortunately most of the day it’s Vietnamese trucks which don’t go to Phnom Penh (if you’re going that way). It’s best to move a bit back from the Cambodian side of the boarder. Only maybe 100m and you’ll see that all the cars that drop people at the boarder chuck a u-ie and then come past you. Most will ask for money but with a Phnom Penh sign I got a free lift in ~30 mins (30 mins waiting at the boarder in the wrong spot)

Long road with no turns and space for cars to stop, easy to hitch to the south. Found direct ride to Phnom-Penh in less than 10min. Few vans will stop and ask for money, makes it a safety if you need to reach your destination absolutely

Pretty good spot, hid in the shade of a signpost. Lots of space for cars to stop. Trucks too. Had 6 people stop, ask if I was ok, and offer to take me to the bus station. Difference between Thailand and Cambodia was very obvious.

Big gas station and plenty of room to pull over. Many trucks and vehicles coming from the big port close by. However, hitchhiking is not so common in cambodia so is difficult. i waited 5-6 hours for a ride!
