Got lucky a guy bring us to the gas station after Slovenia border but there is not so much cars, mostly with Zagreb shields

Cars going too fast 2-3 cars stopped and could bring me to Zagreb and one guy took Budapest, but I wanted to Ljubljana Decided to go to another spot

Asked people and then one guy took me to Zagreb

Gas station with hotdogs (2.5€ in 2026) First guy we asked for to go to split took us He drove to karlovac and our destination is Düsseldorf so we went with him for about 400km

My friend and I waited here with a sign saying Zagreb and got picked up alm immediately by a beekeeper. Now I know what Royal Jelly is! 10/10 can recommend

My friend (f) and I (m) waited here with a sign saying Dugopolje for a very very short time, got picked up by a lady from Dugopolje who very proudly offered us to show us around her city and showed us the church. Great spot, can recommend :)

bus station which did not seem to be busy, got a ride straight to zadar old town (1girl)

basically noone stops here for a break, cars on the road go very fast, theoretically enough space for them to decide to stop tho. I ended up getting lucky and some guys that needed a toilet break took me to biograd na moru (1girl)

just got lucky since everyone is taking the other street outwards the city north so if you can, go to the bridge. But otherwise nice space to stop nice it's a bus stop (1girl)

Got dropped off here, everyone is going the same road, guy took me all the way to Bosnian border

Walked from the center to here, after 30m someone stopped and took us over the border to Bosnia, he drove like a F1 driver and at the boarder he said that we needed to take our documents and drove trough the douane. He dropped us in novigrad and went away

Loads of cars all going the same road, I had a sign and got picked up within 2 min (crazy!) there’s a food/drinks place here too, as well as a bus stop going to split

In theory great spot for Split/Rijeka/Zagreb, it's just full of tourists that don't take people and for the truckers it's good to catch them at the right time(for me early morning, as i slept here)

pretty good spot in theory, had bad luck with a stupid french guy that dropped me off in the middle of a highway and said it was ok. it in fact was not ok

Bale is a shitty place to stop, dont take a lift to there, car rolling too fast and nobody stop for you. Ended up walking for 2.5 hour to brajkovici and took a bus to porec because nobody stopped for me there too

Tourist from germany took me to bale. A lot of traffic but no place to stop. Shitty spot

you can propably easily find a ride in the morning from tourists going to croatia, french couple took me to dubrovnik

Although this spot seems hard to get to at first (you have to take a bus, walk and then jump a fence), it is worth it. There was a lot of truckers resting, asked two croatian guys where they were going and they took me right to the slovenia-croatia border.

I asked around 5 minutes. Two guys from Croatia gave me a ride to Croatia Croatian is my mother language, I think that helped me a lot. April, Sunday 3 pm, not much cars

Amazing visibility and even space for a truck to stop. All the traffic from the highway to Croatia passes through here.

It's not a good place for a couple we waited a whole afternoon then slept here in tent on the next morning we found a truck driver who took us to Croatia. If you are alone it can be good there are some trucks there and most of them willing to take one person. ou can go to Slovenia or croatia from here but come here only if you are alone.

Waited for around 40 minutes in šetaliste 13. Divizije with no luck. Then Went here. Still almost nobody takes hitchikers in croatia

It was July and many people were driving to Croatia etc. so it was very hard to find someone who have a free place :( It's always better to ask drivers for a ride. In July it's 1/5 star

There was no one going towards Slovenia or Croatia. Everyone was local people, and on top of that the gas station was under reconstruction. Only the McDonald's was open, but even there it was just locals.

Not perfect spot but it works, there is tiny space for car to stop but the traffic is low anyway. Got ride to Croatia

Worst place you can find for hitchhiking. We waited here for more than a day in the summer. Every car is rather full of families returning from vacation or refugees with car from switzerland. We had a cardboard saying Hrvatska, then we switched to Croatia, then we just asked people, but nobody wanted to take us or they had full car. After day on this gas station it seems like spawn for refugees with expensive cars. Stay in Belgrad instead, it's a nice city

Its okey place to go in direction of Croatia, Cacak or Novi Sad. After 40 min with sign "Novi Sad" we got a ride where we needed.
