Got a 3km ride to the airport, which driver told me would be better. Airport ended up being absolutely terrible cuz of the off-season… but it was hard to imagine getting a ride all the way to the Montenegrin border within a reasonable time at this spot anyway, given the time of the year. Good traffic though, and fine place to stop

In the offseason this is brutal. Two total MNE license plates in 2 hours. Wrote sign “Gruda” after these two hours just so I could get some momentum… and after 20 minutes of that just gave up. Sure it works just fine when there is more traffic and more international cars, but god did this suck in mid-March

Spot is pretty good, there's good room for stopping, and one can see cars from afar. Basically all outbound traffic uses the road.

Basically got picked up by the first car. The location is not perfect in the middle of an intersection, but works surprisingl well.

Great spot, everyone is going on the island, easy.

Waited 1 hour halfway to Rijeka but it was like 5 in the morning. I think its a good spot, easily reached by bus.

Hitched here twice, once to Rijeka; took me only 10min. Once I went all the way from Bosnia in summer and waited 2 hours for it

I don't know if I was really lucky but I found(ask around) ride 150 km. That guy went to the Zagreb. Bur drivers that I asked before, they were locals.

Good spot to go to slavonski brod. After few minutes we talked with to serbian guys who took us to slawonski brod .

Arrived there with the bus but it was already late...so we went back and forth from the Ikea exit . Better to talk to people at the gas station what we did and then a guy brought us a little further to another gas station like 20 mins down the road or so

This man drove me to the border (I waited for him and hitchhiked while he was at the border control), no one before him wanted to stop for me, so I don't know how good the place is

First car accepted me. You can take train from Zagreb to Kupljenovo after that 20 min walking .keep in mind that you have to cross the highway to the opposite side if you are going towards Slovenia, when I was there there wasn't much traffic, January morning weekday

It's not a good place for a couple we waited a whole afternoon then slept here in tent on the next morning we found a truck driver who took us to Croatia. If you are alone it can be good there are some trucks there and most of them willing to take one person. ou can go to Slovenia or croatia from here but come here only if you are alone.

Waited for around 40 minutes in šetaliste 13. Divizije with no luck. Then Went here. Still almost nobody takes hitchikers in croatia

It was July and many people were driving to Croatia etc. so it was very hard to find someone who have a free place :( It's always better to ask drivers for a ride. In July it's 1/5 star

There was no one going towards Slovenia or Croatia. Everyone was local people, and on top of that the gas station was under reconstruction. Only the McDonald's was open, but even there it was just locals.

Not perfect spot but it works, there is tiny space for car to stop but the traffic is low anyway. Got ride to Croatia

Worst place you can find for hitchhiking. We waited here for more than a day in the summer. Every car is rather full of families returning from vacation or refugees with car from switzerland. We had a cardboard saying Hrvatska, then we switched to Croatia, then we just asked people, but nobody wanted to take us or they had full car. After day on this gas station it seems like spawn for refugees with expensive cars. Stay in Belgrad instead, it's a nice city

Its okey place to go in direction of Croatia, Cacak or Novi Sad. After 40 min with sign "Novi Sad" we got a ride where we needed.

Not much traffic to Croatia, many full cars and families, most going North East, finally got a Swedish couple to take three of us Southish, where I got out at Novo Mesto to try my luck again for Zagreb.

Lots of traffic due to a 2cv citroen car festival. It meant a lot of the traffic was local but there were also cars going further. I was picked up by a smart car. My first time in a smart car - they're bigger than you think! Driver took me past where he was going and dropped me at the border crossing for Croatia.

Not sure about this spot, but we (2 people) catched a ride with a sign with woman going on vacation to croatia. Guess you have to be lucky here

Only gas station when you want to get out of the city direction south. We had no other option so we stayed there more than two hours, many people going to Hungary or west of croatia. At the end we were just super lucky and one guy took us to huge highway parking place behind Dakovo

croatia joined schengen in 2023 so this border is no longer strictly controlled and cars might be more willing to pick you up. but still, if you can, try get dropped at the service station before this one. we might have been here longer but we got a ride quick enough to zagreb from someone going to bosnia.
