People here was in a shitty mood (bad vibes), and the cafeteria was shitty. But a lot of people drives by. Got a ride to Hamburg within 10 min.

Official hitchhiking spot. The best place to leave Copenhagen to go west. I use this every time and never wait over 5 minuts.

Got picked up here by a nice guy going to malmö :) This is a pretty good spot to cross the border, not too many cars are driving into that direction so even though there is not much place to stop, people don’t drive too fast so I felt safe. Also it’s near traffic lights so people will have the time to see you.

It was in the middle of the night when I came here and immediately jumped from one car to another.

Great pick up point, it's not bussy, but all the cars are going North. Perfect for going to Herning

You might have to wait for a long time, but when you get a ride you will get very far. I held a sign that said "DE" and got a ride all the way to Germany from a trucker.

There is a good amount of traffic here. You can stand at the bus stop so that cars have room to pull over. There are traffic lights here and when they are red the cars have a good amount of time to see you. If the people who picked you up are not travelling where you want to go, you can ask to be dropped off att karlsrunde rasteplads. It is a good spot to continue.

I went into the gas station to buy a sandwich and while standing in line two guys saw my sign and offered me a ride. Fantastic!

Stood near the exit from the gas station with a sign saying South Jutland. Was picked by a guy quite quickly.

I was standing here with sign in hand but didn't get a ride for 2 h which is odd because the place is usually good. At the end I went down to the exit from the service area so I wasn't so much in people's face. There I got a ride after 40 min.

I stood with a sign saying Fredericia a little before the exit from the gas station area. Took a surprisingly long time. Usually the spot is better. Maybe it was because most people driving to Jylland leaves in the morning and I was there at 14:40.

A lot of local drivers. Hard to get a long ride but good spot to get to Karlslunde highway gas station, where it's easier to get a long ride.

Good spot to get to Sweden, but its hard to get a ride further than Malmö

a man and his son picked us both up in their minivan and drove us to Hamburg (via ferry), it was a very scenic drive, and it was fairly easy to flag down a car

Probably just bad luck, but we waited pretty long and it was raining, a few cars stopped but no one went german direction. Good to check when do the ferries go so some germans might be around!

Pretty short ride, everyone went to Copenhagen instead of Germany, where we wanted to go. When the car stops for you I recommend asking them if it would be okay to take you at least to rastplatz in Kolding, from there it's only straight to Germanyyy

Waited a bit longer than usual, since there's no gasstation, only place to rest, not many cars around and Danes felt too comfortable to stop for us lol. But then we asked a Syrian guy and he took us to Hamburg, so after all.. good?

The ferry terminal was self serve when we were there, so no workers that send us away. Took a while because many cars were full but we found a car that took us onto the ferry pretty quickly.

A lot of electric cars that were going north, but it took us forever to find someone who would take us south. Dont recommend, most cars are also there for a long time as they charge.

We hadn't even started asking yet when we got a ride. A woman approached us on our lunch break and took us south. Another hitchhiker we met had a harder time tho, they wanted to go west - there was a lot of cars going north and south, but not west.

As I was hitching here, it was pretty late in the day and pretty late in the season as well, but still, a decent number of cars were going south. Some local traffic, some foreigners (plenty of fishermen going back south). Usually pretty stuffed cars, but after around half an hour, I found a car going to southern Denmark.

If you want to go to Denmark just walk up to cars with danish lisence plates and ask them. I got a ride from the second car i asked. Gasoline is currently cheaper in sweden than in denmark so many danish cars stop here to fill up their cars before they go back to denmark.

It was evening and suprisingly low traffic going to berlin. Liek eveyone were turning away on the next highway exit which is crazy. But eventually found a guy just sitting in a car and eating burger from mcdonalds and asked and he agreed because he was driving from ukraine border to denmark and would love company. And it was super nice for me because i was trying to go to hamburg

Going north, this spot doesn't feel so great, but it worked for me. I was looking for a car, taking the ferry when two guys pulled in, looked at the ferry prices, and decided to take the bridge all the way to Copenhagen. If going to Denmark, I would advise taking the A7 rather than the A1.

Got drop of here. Not that good place. There is small traffic. But I got lucky and some good spontanisu people from belgium made a trip for me. Btw asiking around is your only option here and it is easyer to go to denmark then north

Probably one of the Best Spots in Denmark, as it apparently is the biggest crossing in Denmark. Not Even 10 Minuten and I got a Ride near to Odense. Stand exactly there with a sign and try to Signal Both ways

Stand there with a sign. Good spot, for picked up to Fredericia, one of the biggest crossings in Denmark and an amazing spot . Good if youre going to Kopenhagen.

Great place for getting across the bridge to Denmark. Lots of Danish, German and Dutch cars. We asked around at the gas station and were quickly offered a ride to Copenhagen by a Czech couple.

Great place to get over German - Denmark borders. Many danish people are going for groceries there (cheap beers and chocolates) But a lot of times very full, be careful on Sundays, the shops opens at 12.

Great place but for some reason cursed. Many cars, slow cars a lot of place for stoping. For some reason all the cars were full so waited there for 6 hours. After that a guy took me all the way to the danish borders so that was fine. Good place for Amsterdam + (guy I met waited for 20 minutes) Not so good for Denmark - (me 6 hours)

Cara are very slow thanks to a speed bump. Not too much space for stopping but enough.Used a 5km sign to get at least on the next service area on the highway but git a ride to Denmark anyway.

I was trying to get to Denmark but no luck here, waited more than two hours, a few cars stopped but nobody was going there or able to take me. Nice spot to nap though

Took us to Denmark. A lot of scandinavian plates, so just go around asking. We took a car on friday afternoon, so there were a lot of families. We had luck with an old couple that had 2 seats at the back.

Services were closed when I was there (and look like it could be permanent). Petrol station is open but most of the traffic was just going in to Hamburg. If you’re going for Denmark I had much better luck at Rastplatz Holmmoor on the other side of Hamburg

When I got there it was pretty busy. Probably also because it was vacation season. Anyways after asking around I got a ride with some dutch people up until Puttgarden onto the ferry. Traffic towards Denmark will come through here. (246km)

Got a lift to Scandipark by the highway where many Danes shop. The spot seemed okay, easy to stop, but very urban. It's an actual hitchhikers bench! The idea of it got me very excited. Pedestrians will definitely look at you confused for actually using it. The bench has an option for putting up a sign with the direction you want to go, which is funny but I think it's broken. Anyway, if no people to Denmark pick you up, Scandipark is a very good second option :)

I barely managed to lift my sign "Denmark/Hamburg" And got a ride straight to Kolding, 549km. Insane.

The south of Denmark is always very quite since most cars will fill up in Germany. That said this might be your be chance south of kolding. Had literally 5 cars passing by in 30 minutes but the first one stopping took me all the way to hirtshals.
