Got the first car that turned into our direction. It’s turn and there is enough gravel/grass space on the right for cars to stop

Not many cars, driving fast but they can see you soon enough to slow down. Space before and after the spot for cars to stop. Cars coming out of the Ekkodalvej have time to see you

Got a ride directly to the Ekkodal. There isn’t a specific place for people to stop, but there is a parking lot a bit before, and it’s before a turn and after a speed bump so they will slow down

Got a ride to Gudhjem from a local guy. Drove us 13km further than where he had to go. There is room for cars to stop on a small spot by the gas station. Around the corner is on the main road to Gudhjem

Got a quick ride further to get to the outskirt of the city and narrow the amount of cars going in our direction. Not a lot of space to stop, but by a bus stop

Not a lot of place for cars to stop. They can turn into the gas station or stop on the road. There’s a bump before and a crossing so they have to slow down

Were meant to be dropped off in Svaneke but got lucky to get the ride all the way to Gudhjem. There is a lot of space for cars to stop right at the end of Nexø

Got the next car after the one that dropped us off. Got lucky to get out of the small city. Take it if you can. On Bornholm, every small step is something and will be on the way to the next city if on the main road

Not the best spot outside of rush hours. Being a side road, you don’t get many cars. But you raise your chances when being in the “beach hours” as Dueodde beach is right down the road

On the way to Dueodde, got a ride to Nexø. Waited a bit longer than usual. Walked out of Nexø to get to Dueodde

Got direct to Svaneke

Got a ride around the ringvej under 10min. Funky guy who stopped in the middle of the road, no time to think.

Nice spot. 6 persons stopped within 15min, but they weren’t going to Svaneke. The last guy made a detour for me. Very friendly. WOULDN’T RECOMMEND AT NIGHT, NO CARS AT ALL

Great for going to Germany. You can get here from service station going up north using bridge on small road little bit north of that place. Getting from the "northern" service station to bridge is easy as there is small road connecting it to the service station but if you don't want to REALY go around while going from the bridge to this spot you will need to walk a litte next to a highway, just keep that in mind. If you are brave enough you can try to run through the motorway but I don't recommend that

Took us to Denmark. A lot of scandinavian plates, so just go around asking. We took a car on friday afternoon, so there were a lot of families. We had luck with an old couple that had 2 seats at the back.

When I got there it was pretty busy. Probably also because it was vacation season. Anyways after asking around I got a ride with some dutch people up until Puttgarden onto the ferry. Traffic towards Denmark will come through here. (246km)

Got a ride to Denmark in less than 30 minutes

We had a sign for Berlin but were aiming for Denmark, got picked up by a lovely couple who took us all the way to Flensburg and let us stay with them overnight.

It took me just a few minutes to find a Polish truck heading to the island of Fyn in Denmark. This spot is nice, and there are plenty of cars here.

Quiete a good spot towards Denmark and Sweden, unfortunately I arrived at 5 pm at Buddikate Ost and until I gave up at 8 pm I want able to get a lift towards the ferry in Puttgarden, quiet soon after arriving at the petrol station though I met multiple truck driver who would head towards Sweden the next morning (I thought that I would be able to catch a ride that evening so I didn't paided sufficient attention to this). After sleeping in my tent I got up the next morning and was able to catch a ride after waiting for two hours

It’s a really great place to get picked up to leave Holstebro around Denmark

Perfect for Denmark, Hamburg, Lübeck and Puttgarden.

Solo female, at sunset/night. Not many cars, most of them going towards Denmark (should be quite easy that direction). I asked around with sign Kiel and ended up getting a lucky ride.

100% doable to hitchhike somebody taking the ferry to denmark, just stand a bit further than the roundabout in the direction of terminals. at the gate the driver just says one more person, they pay the same amount. on the ferry get out of the car and ask around for a ride or just enjoy and walk off via pedestrian gate, nobody checks once you're on. safe travels!

Big rest area with a petrol station, toilets, and options to camp. Good for getting a ride to Malmö or Denmark. At the petrol station you can charge your phone and sit.

Fantastic spot towards Denmark.

I guess not the best spot as other say, but we asked around and got ride to the better stop heading toward Denmark.

Many reviews saying that it should be really easy to get to Denmark. Surprisingly we didn't meet a lot of Danish cars there. After 30mins of asking around we met a guy going all the way to Netherlands. (He had a really small car though).

Probably a good spot if you stick with one plan. I constantly switched between asking cars that tanked and standing at the traffic light hoping someone would pick me up. In the end I got so desperate I even started asking the people that stopped at the red light and that’s how I got picked up to get into Denmark (7 to 8 am)

the only Gas station directly on the highway between Rostock and Greifswald. It serves both directions but there were more people for direction east. I was ther on a work day noon in winter. There was not super much trafic but some cars would still come. Most people were going to Poland or Stralsund. One person would be driving towards schwerin, one person to magdeburg. Few people were going to Rostock and on a ferry to Denmark. Only few people were going west. It took me 4 hours until a person agreed to take me to Lübeck. So all in all I´d recomend if you wanna go Stralsund or Poland. If you wanna go further west I'd recomend to get out on one of the parking areas on the highway or to hitch somewhere from rostock. this place sucks.

Great place to hitch toward Denmark. It is where tons of Danes go to shop groceries at cheaper German prices! Tons of Danes from all over.
