we found a ride to Metz in about an hour. we saw a lot of cars going to Luxembourg or to Strasbourg

we wanted to go in the direction of Reims and found a ride after more than 2 hours. There is a lot of traffic if you want to go to the UK, Calais or Lille but not a lot of people are going to the East.

we found a ride to saint quentin. A lot of people were stopping cause we were there during the lunch time.

someone dropped us at this toll from Le Havre, we aren't sure that hitchhiking there is legal but there is a little parking spot so it's easy to get à ride. we got a ride in 5 minutes to Amiens

there is a bus stop right after so the cars can stop. the trafic is going quite fast. We found a ride to the toll of "Saint romain de Colbosc" which was really helpfull to join Amiens after. I don't know if there is a better spot to leave the town.

Du passage avec des plaques de l'Est, Ouest, NL et BE. On a un peu attendu mais on s'est fait prendre en direct jusqu'à Nantes

Suffisamment de place pour se garer, pas mal de passage, on a attendu moins de 30 minutes et on a été déposé à l'aire de Limours

We got a ride in 5 minutes to go to the gas station of Toul and managed to catch a ride to Reims there. People can see you from before the red spot and easliy park at the avia station.

We took the bus n°11 until the outside of giberville and then walked about 20 min to the gaz station. A lot of people are going in direction of Paris. We started the hitch late during the afternoon and found a ride to Fécamp (close to Etretat) in about 2 hours.

it's an intersection where the cars are driving quite fast and there is absolutely no space to stop. We waited 15 minutes and then changed our spot.

Good place to be dropped from Lille. From there, every car heading to the highway south can drop you in aire de Phalempin

Les gens roulent vite, trop peu d'espace pour s'arrêter. Nous voulions aller au Havre mais nous n'étions pas du bon coté de la rocade (l'idéal serait à l'est). Nous avons attendus de 20h30 à 22h30 puis nous avons abandonné ..

Pas de mal de passage pour l'heure (20h), bon spot pour aller à Caen avec suffisamment de place mais peu de gens nous voyaient à cause de la nuit donc personne ne s'arrêtait. Au bout d'une heure, une dame nous a déposé jusque la porte de Bretagne à Caen

Good visible spot, cars can stop next to the road. Entrance to highways towards Germany and France. Lots of local trafic & French and German cars. But no luck with sign Freiburg. Finaly got a lift to Weil border gasstation.

good spot to go towards France, male a sign to Savona or Imperia so that people can easier lift you, there's a gas station where you can ask people

Found a car in the direction of Mons, France pretty fast by asking around. A lovely person too that gave me control of the aux.

May favourite starting spot to get out of the area to the Netherlands/Belgium/France. So far has worked out for me fairly quickly every single time. This review is super late, but I was there in May in the afternoon and found folks going my direction in half an hour by asking around. It only took half an hour because they wanted to finish their meal (which, totally fair.) I think the finding itself only took about 10 minutes.

Wanted to go South towards Spain, had a sign with A6 / A10 Sud de la France but had to wait pretty long until I found a proper ride. There's a traffic light and also some place to stop for cars, but most of the people just drove by without stopping, it was hard since many are not going out of town. Still, after 3h I got lucky and found a man that took me 4 hours South and I had no stress, so it was fine :)

Nice spot, dirt/gravel place where cars can stop and lot of traffic. Close to onramp to various directions (west, north, south) it was raining and we were cold so we agreed to get driven to Pirmasens (direction France) where we found shelter in a church

I was there twice on my way to France. It´s very easy to get a ride in the right direction, so great Spot. Hitchhiking further into France I always got stuck up in Mulhouse, so maybe it´s worth trying over Basel or waiting fore someone who brings you to a gas station, not some roundabout near Mullhouse.

Once again, that's me =) And once again, we didn't try here, but the guy that took us before in the city actually went by this entrance to get to the north of France, so it's worth trying there maybe.

We were not so optimistic, and after trying 10min at the bus stop, we thought it would be better to walk to the exit of the city. But finally someone stopped and took us to Valence. If you are going to the south of France, better catch a ride straight to the south of Valence, we were dropped at the north side (Bourg lès Valence) which is not really good to continue the way.

Good spot for france direction/san sebastian. We took a metro from bilbao(2€) to the small town near by, walked 15 min. The traffic is not so much intense but you'll find someone(there was some french plate).

Got a ride instantly, straight to Renens. A lot of people live in france (its cheaper) and go to switzerland for work, so in the morning theres a lot of traffic, some to geneve and some to lausanne, maybe even further.

I was really lucky and got a ride directly to the vineyard where i was heading, but it is a good spot. A lot of french cars going towards the south of france.

Not the best spot, few space to stop for the cars but the road i straight to the france and the landsvape is BEAUTIFULL. there are some french cars who come back from italy, and the road pass from the alpes and a outstanding lake. If you want to be fast is better walk 40 minuts back there is a spot for the hightway.

Perfect spot direction novara or further(torin or france), a small gas station, a lot of space for cars to see you and stop.
