SPAIN / MOROCCO FRONTIER
HARD CROSSING DUE TO THE CROWD
DIRECTION TETOUAN / ALGECIRAS
Sign : Ask direcly to drivers, a lot are dissatisfied about the frontier system and because there is too much people screaming, crying, waiting hours for visas... It's a very hard point to hitchhike.
Position : For the south, maybe walk a little after the taxi parking and put your sign... it will be more quiet

Europa point. Tourists come here with cars, park, look around and drive back. Easy targets. Had a lift all the way to Tarifa from here.

5h30 d'attente.

I found a boat here to go to the Caribbean. Insane luck. I was on another boat at that time and only hopped onto it in Lanzarote. Not many boats here far better to search in Gibraltar or the Canaries

Cars going a bit too fast, but you can take the bus if you get burnt under the andalusian sun. We were lucky, a taxi driver took us to Gibraltar! (we were with a sign saying Gibraltar)

many cars passing, a bit sketchy to stop but got quite lucky. Maybe you will find a much used plastic sign to Gibraltar/ Algeciras on the ground :) (Oktober 2023)

Really fast pickup, faster without a sign because there is only one direction to go! Travelled in direction to gibraltar

Good visibility for both entrances to catch a ride heading south, direction Gibraltar etc. We waited 5 mins.

Good spot towards North. This is for the weird ones, coming from Gibraltar, who don't trust the spot on the border (too crowded there for my taste)... So this is a bus stop. Plenty of space to pull over.

Got a lift to Gibraltar after less than an hour. There are some trees for shade. Spot before have less cars, but here you have to walk pretty far.

A plain street, but cars have to go slow and see you from far. They can easily pull out. Lots of international traffic (for Spain). Got a lift to Gibraltar after 15 Minutes.
