Most of traffic is towards the border, just be aware quite often if they stop, they are gonna ask for money, either persist that you are going without money, or be willing to scrounge up however much they are asking. Funnily, one of the guys who asked for money just saw me walking away and just said "is ok no money" and got a free ride, even if 2 minutes before he asked for 10 euro

Good spot, quickly got a ride to Prizren

After finishing my hike in afternoon, quickly got a ride back to Prizren This spot is not perfect, but drivers here don’t mind and still pick you up :)

Got a ride with an Albanian elderly man. He couldn't speak english, but we managed with google translate and hand signs. He dropped us near the old town of Prizren. Friendly person.

We hitchiked as a couple. We were trying to get to Skopje from Prizren. Got a ride till Prevalle. Beautiful scenic road.

pretty easy to get lifts, especially with truckers. Just go up to them as they sort their papers. got taken to rožaje then via his mate's car to the service station on the way to serbia

I was probably quite lucky but a lovely guy took me to the border crossing

decent for heading towards montenegro, but pretty unlikely they will be crossing the border. always a pleasure hitching with albanians

It's impossible to wait in Kosovo

Kosovo is hitchhiking heaven, it looks like you can stay anywhere and everyone will stop for you.

Literally first car stopped, typical Kosovo experience with the most helpful people I've ever met.

Hitching in Gora is special. the people are some of the kindest I've ever met. the road was quiet, but good quality, so enough cars. lorries are good because they seem more likely to be going to Prizren (which is what i did). be sure to, like all of these rural quiet roads in hiking areas, to be assertive in your method

got unlawfully declined entry to kosovo, so had to turn around and go to belgrade. easy HH right after the border.

along the road in presevo and all the way to kosovo border you can hitchhike with 0 problems. just keep walking and keep thumbing. i got many small rides, not putting it all on the map.

i was going to kosovo, so asked to drop me near the next turn. you can easily go to Belgrade from here though.

a lot of cars, great number of them with Belgrade or Serbian plates going to the border. Also some Romanian or Kosovo. But many cars are full with kids/luggage. I still got a ride tho. Stood exactly at the pump, workers didn't mind. had sign saying "SRB"

Hitchhiked from here to get to Villach, Ana amazing spot where the only direction is Austria so you can get to Villach quite quick. Lovely man from Kosovo drove me straight to the station.

Waited 20 minutes. Got a ride with a Kosovo gentleman till Skopje city center

First car stopped, that's how it works in this region. My driver called his friend, who often rides to Kosovo. It turned out that he is leaving right now, he waited for us and I just changed the cars. Amazing, super helpful people.

Here I met a Swedish guy who was hitchhiking for the first time to Italy! Managed to hitch a ride together with guys from Kosovo going to Hannover.

There is no space for a car to stop but it's Albania so who cares. The car was going to Kosovo. I was heading to Valbona via Bairam Curri. The driver said that the majority of cars go there via Kosovo nowadays. I couldn't go there so had to stick to the old road.

If you end up here you're likely to get a ride towards Kosovo reasonably fast, there's a shop and a cafe there as well

Traffic is sparse there but you'll likely be taken to a better place to catch a ride towards Kosovo.

There some place to stop and drivers dont go too fast. Got picked up by local who was going to gjakove in kosovo.

Fine spot just maybe some cars go a bit fast. We were heading to kosovo but got picked up by local who was goig to the next town and went past it to take us to the main road.

Good spot and fairly busy, got a dude from Geneva that dropped me into a town in Kosovo, you can see the license plates so that helps too.

This is the Exit of the Port with a lot of Trucks passing by. Used a sign saying Kosovo and a Truck took me all the way to prizren.
