It‘s okay guys

Probably got quite lucky, but got ride to Riga in 30 minutes using a sign "LV". Mostly trucks ride here for some reason, personal car traffic is quite low and a lot of cars are locals Ithink (not many cars with foreign license plates). There is a bus stop behond curve (the curve slow down cars, but they can still see you and cars go still quite fast there). So you must be lucky, sign reccomended.

Late in the evening really wanted to go to klaipeda and the first car i asked gave me a ride there. The best gas station going from kaunas towards klaipeda or panevezys. You can find traffic going both directions.

Good spot. A bus stop wo a lot of soace to stop. And cars dont go too fast. Got a car coming back for me to pick up so that was nice. And the guy saw me at vilnius trying to hitchhike to here few days before and felt bad that he didnt pick me up and now picked a hitchhiker and it turned out to be a same person :DHDHDH

Good spot , got taken pretty fast to where i neede. Was standign with a sign Utena to go pas Moletai and it worked. Good bus stop with a lot of space and traffic lights before.

It was literal middle of night and i really wanted to go to vilnius so waited for anyone. But there was almost zero traffic but finally a circle k (this gas station) truck took me to vilnius. And i was there at 3 am but i was there so it was fine by me :))).

Towards Labunava/Kedainiai, very viable option for going towards north, especially good to catch the cars coming from highway, wide bus stop, slow speeds and quite some cars going all the way to Kedainiai, wait times of 5-15 minutes expected

Towards Alytus, great bus stop, good visibility, very wide and speeds are superslow due to roundabout, wait times of 5-15 minutes expected

Towards Alytus, Vilnius, great spot as a wide bus stop, loads of traffic though as mentioned most of it is headed towards Ratnycia part of Druskininkai, wait times of 15-30 minutes expected

Towards PL, just before speed bump or after it is amazing since by now all of the local cars have either turned away or they'll be at this petrol station, super slow speeds and okay visibility, wait times of 5-20 minutes expected

Great bus stop towards Alytus, good visibility, good enough speeds and great traffic density, wide bus stop, wait times of 5-10 minutes expected

Towards the villages, mainly for Paduoblis and Naravai, low amount of cars but people are super friendly around here willing to drop you where you need to go, a car will pass during the day time around every 5-8 minutes, good enough and first or second one will pick you up, you can hitch anywhere on this road, low speeds

Petrol station towards Kaunas, amazing spot, loads of drivers, you can also stand by the speeding up ramp, there's gravel roadside for cars to stop, wait times of 5-15 minutes to be expected

Towards Kryžkalnis, great spot in the sense of the road has wide shoulder and there are working street lights so great for night time hitching, the road gets traffic all the time albeit it may be low during more of the obscure hours, great potential to find a long distance rides to any direction towards south, wait times to be expected of around 20-35 minutes

Great spot to get to Panevėžys, cars go fast, but can see you from far and there is plenty of space to stop. Got ride to Panevėžys in 20 minutes.

I agree with the previous review, not so much traffic, but enough place to stop and 5th car stopped me and took me to main road above Vandžiogala. Maybe better if you go to Panevėžys or Latvia, to get from here to Vandžiogala and then further. Bus 23 from centre to Domeikava seniūnija.

Stood just before the fuel station with my sign, car pulled in super quick and beeped. Ended up heading nearly all the way to Krakow with him

It was pretty late in the evening and i was very desperate to get a car going towards lomza. There is a gas station earbies but it was a bit dead there. So went to satnd at the exit but the shit part is that this exit is used both by lomza and warsaw people so you dont know how much traffic actually is going your way. But overall there is pretty nice place to stop. Some space but ofc have a sign. Alsoy desperation was so visible that i stoped a truck here. First time i got a truck not in the gas ststion so i wa svery happy because i really wanted to get to lithuania that day.

Insanely busy MOP. You can try probaly everything from here. As i am lithuanian I was trying to get a ride from lithuanians because really wanted to get drive past warsaw easily and not get stuck there. And i suceeded but sadly they were not driving all the way to lithuania that day :((( but still got past warsaw which i was more than happy with

Towards Lithuania, there's an alcohol store where Lithuanians buy cheaper alcohol but all of the cars are probably super full, medium to low traffic on the bigger road but a lot of drivers are quite cautious, you can basically hitch anywhere along the straight road here, wait times of 30-60 minutes expected

Amazing bus stop to go north towards LT, definitely try to get someone at least going to Lithuania, as you may struggle further up the road, low speeds, good bus stop, okay amount of traffic, wait times of 5-15 minutes expected

Great place with room to stop towards Lithuania. I got a lot of waves and nods but eventually got a ride to Vilnius with an Estonian man who was hoping for a hitchhiker!

Heading towards Riga. Great place where even trucks stop although traffic was quite minimal. Keep an eye out ahead of you on the Latvian side as I missed a truck which stopped there since it was quite far ahead. Still got a ride with the second truck driver who stopped there to the edge of Riga (he was headed to Lithuania).

If youre trying to get to Lithuania or further, prioritise further license plates. Lots of local Polish cars, but lots of cars in general, so you simply cannot ask anyone, and there is decent international traffic. The gas station is compact, so you can see everyone that comes in. Only minus is that there aren’t any trucks.

Great place to go to Lithuania

A lot of cars going to the north east direction stops here. Got a direct ride to Lithuania on a Saturday morning.

Good spot, last place u can really HH if going to Lithuania aha. Like the 4th car took me, but it genuinely took about 15,20 mins for 4 cars to go past.

Good spot, just extremely empty, not many cars going to Lithuania anymore :/ Thankfully a nice Belarusian truck driver stood with me and flagged down another truck

Right after the roundabout there’s a little bit of space to pull over though its technically walkway, not enough for a truck but enough for a car. That way you can catch all the traffic going to Lithuania, as many people stop at the store across the street and there’s no where else to catch them. Only took me about 20-30 minutes to get a ride all the way to Kaunas. Nice couple.

we waited for fifteen minutes and got a ride directly to Kaunas, our first ride. Many cars on the road have Lithuania and Latvia plates, so definitely a good spot to get to the Baltics

Good for Lithuania, getting as far lift as I got is just pure luck

Normally it work much better but today I was just unlucky. Still the best way to get on S8 towards Lithuania and Białystok

We were 2 males, very early morning so it took a while because traffic was low, but in theory a perfect spot for cars to stop going south towards Lithuania and Bauska. Got a ride with sign ”Lietuva” to Bauska

cars here go pretty fast, but you're visible from far. all in all a pretty good spot to go to lithuania.

Asking everyone around if they are going to Lithuania. But half of it was staying in Suwalki. Lithuanian cars were usually full of things. But eventually a estonian camper took us to Kaunas. But still probably its the best gas station to get to Lithuania

Probably the best gas station to get a ride between warsaw and ostrow from my experience. We were trying to go to Lithuania but we accepted a ride to Bialystok which was maybe not the best idea because it can become pretty hard to get out of there. So if you are going to Baltics just stick to the main highway. Eventually you will get someone who is going there.

After roundabout trying to catch cars coming from Suwalki headed to north, great to get Polish going home but most Lithuanian cars are really full, at first declined local rides, but in all honesty, you should take the first car that takes you further up north, for a ride of 20kms or so you will get a car within 20 minutes, for a ride to Lithuania or further you will have to wait way longer
