Not the best stop, cars are going really fast. But fortunately for me, when I get out previous car, the next one stopped to ask me for directions, after some talk I came with them

Road to Mojkovac is closed, and there was also a lot of road construction works near the bridge on both sides so I ended at this place. This is not great, only small space to stop and you need to walk uphill to there. I had no idea how I can get to Prokletije, but actually after 15min two Czech girls stopped and they were going straight to Plav, one of the luckiest hitchhiking rides ever.

I walked by foot through the tunnel and after that there is small place for drivers to stop. There was almost no traffic, in 10min only 2 cars, but actually the second one stopped - great guy living in the mountains, people are really helpful in this area.

Traffic is good but the Albanians workers are a little sketchy. A guy kept asking me for money and he was going to try to rob me. Kept looking at my bag and pacing around me and then asked me to show him my id card (I think he wanted me to take out my wallet so he could grab it) but I refused to. Good for hitchiking but can’t really recommend, would be worse if you are a girl

Lots of traffic, mostly Montenegrin plates. I ended up taken a ride to tuzi and I will try again from there

After talking to some people we got a ride to Bosnia.

It’s a very good spot! The ferry goes every 30 min and you can get on for free as a passenger. You can try ask cars before they go on the ferry, but it’s quite busy and people might not be in the headspace for it, since they are focused on following instructions to get on. Rather go on the ferry and ask people there or make a sign and stand there while people get on. I personally looked for german license plates first and asked them (my final goal was germany), but when they didn’t take me in, I pulled out my sign. One of the cars that I asked took me in after all, when they saw that zagreb would be ok as well, they weren’t sure if they’d drive all the way to germany because of their kid. I hitchhiked in the morning around 10 am and a they took me all the way to Zagreb, which is great.

Much more better to stop here than go to Sveti Stefan in case you go Budva or further, much more place to stop here.

This spot is bit tight, lot of locals hitch here as well, but we went without sign and had a ride to Budva kn 5 minutes.

I waited at the roundabout but than I figured I could also ask people at the gas station and it worked

Enough traffic but most is tourists or people who don’t want to stop. I still put 4 stars cause it was a pretty place to wait with a nice view and a lot of traffic so a good chance to get lucky. 2 people (boy and girl) got a ride to the Montenegro border in 1.5 hours

In theory, it was a great place – a hostel, a gas station, and a place to buy vignettes for TIRs (entry and exit from the same side), but we came across a little traffic. It was getting late, so after almost an hour, we decided we'd be done in 10 minutes and were going to sleep here at the hostel. We were about to head back when a couple from Poland on their way to Montenegro stopped by. We got to Zvolen SK with them.

Great spot to get to Montenegro. Can hitch from the petrol station but we found it better to go onto the lay-by on the other side as traffic moves pretty slow so plenty of time for people to read sign.

Option 1 on hitch-wiki, seemed like a bad spot to go to Montenegro as two locals told us to go to the other side of the city and head south.

We waited maybe 25mins? Then some guy took us to Zlatibor. Good hitchhike spot, probably the best on the highway to Zlatibor/Montenegro

Good spot if you want to go to Dubrovnik or Montenegro from Mostar, a guy doing Mostar - Dubrovnik took me after 30-40 min

Bus stop there, plenty of space for the cars to stop, but there are just few cars going fast on their way to Montenegro.

Started hitchhiking at night right after crossing the Serbian border on feet. There's a huge queue of trucks there, don't use sign there, because just near the Montenegro border there will be another huge line of trucks. Use this place to just hitchhike a ride through 3km buffer zone with your thumb and cross next border by walk. Border workers are helping you to get a ride

It's a highway and there's a whole unused line for cars to stop. Traffic is going surprisingly slow and drivers can easily see you. Got a ride to Montenegro direction in less than 10 minutes. Technically hitchhiking on the highway is illegal, but come on, who cares about rules in Serbia? That's why I love Balkans where you don't get 150 euros fine for doing something innocent and nobody will ever snitch on you.

Was going Montenegro direction. This place is not popular at all. Too small traffic and most of it goes to Cacak. Didnt get any ride for two hours, after that I went to hitchhike to the highway and got a ride very quickly

This place is hard but doable. Mostly no cars go to Montenegro here, but truck drivers go directly to Podgorica. I had to beg on my mom to get one truck driver take me at least to the border. He had to drop me before, because he had only driver seat in his cabin and didn't want any problems at control. Overall, it has plenty of place for cars to stop, but barely anyone go to Monyebegro

I got to this station by Bus from Beograd(they're currently free due to protests in Serbia), but be careful because they're chaotic and Google maps doesn't show real bus schedule and routes. Better use Serbian app 'Moovit' to see actual information. This spot was amazing! No many cars stop here, but for me it was a direct shot! After 5 minutes of asking drivers directly for a ride, I got picked up by a nice Serbian truck driver that went all way to Montenegro, which was extremely lucky!!!

Lot of people going to Montenegro, Budva should be a good sign. We got a ride to kotor quickly, and the bus stop is good for pulling over

Good spot to go into Kosovo. Decent traffic and a good view. Got taken quickly but then the driver had to drop me between the Montenegro and Kosovo border stations for some reason.

I was at the bus stop in front of the airport. A man from Norway going to Montenegro took me to Herceg Novi where I can take a bus to Kotor.

Good spot to wait at the bus stop. Not many people will take you, but it just takes time. I first tried it down at the on road to the 'highway' but waited for one hour without any success, maybe because it was Easter saturday. Got picked up by a very friendly sailor from Montenegro that showed me his village and invited me for a drink.

Sunday 4pm. At the beginning of the bus stop. Not as good as in the direction to Montenegro but enough space. After 30min a few filipino guys stopped and took me to Dubrovnik. I think I was lucky - lots of Dubrovnik plates that would not stop.

If you want to go schkoder/montenegro, DO NOT USE THIS ROAD!!! although it looks more direct, it is a tinyass single track mountain route with basically zero cars, all going super slow. itll take a whole day to get there. stick to the main road (e.g. a car to tirana). get out at the main road junction near lac (there is a good spot) and hitch north from there. I got out here, hitched part way along, and then realised my mistake and hitched back, losing 5 hours. the first cars here did stop so it is friendly hitching, but its super slow, nobody will go direct to schkoder here.
