january. waited about 10 minutes and some truck driver took me to ballangen

The second car we asked agreed to take me and my girlfriend to Oslo. Very good spot, lot of traffic.

Talk too people at the Gas Station

We were asking the people at the gas station and got the 6 hour ride strait to Helsingborg

Nice spot with a sheltered bus stop. The three of us waited for 15 minutes and got an amazing ride to Lillehammer.

A couple people who couldnt see the sign properly pulled over, but then weren't going to Tromsø. Most people ignored. You might have more luck hitching to the road junction further North then hitching again across to Tromsø. The bus to Tromsø does stop here, so it's a good spot to attempt if you've got nothing else to do.

Expect low traffic on this road, really lonely but great experience to go that way to Umea

Low traffic but I just waited on the exit from parking and it worked.

It seems pretty good for hitchhiking, but I somehow spent a lot of time there.

Great spot to head towards Oslo! There's not much space for drivers to pull over, but it's wide enough for them to pull to the side and stop. It's also beneficial that there is a roundabout and drivers go slower and can take their time to think about picking you up when they see you.

I saw it like the only place where car can stop on the right side, but they go fast and it's not ideal. But actually somehow it took 3min for me

One of my best hitchhiking experiences from that spot. Lady who took, offered me a place to sleep in her campervan on Fosselv Camping. She left me a keys and I could do a laundry also - just amazing

I was lazy to walk to the spots on exit from the city and I think this bus stop is good enough

First tourist car with free space will take you

45 minutes on a sunday afternoon, I never wait that long usually. But the spot issue good. I took a just a 20 minutes ride to the military zone, cuz I was freezing. Then I get mire lucky and find one quicker.

Lot of space, but still in the city Best option though Difficult as always in Norway 54 tunels and you're in Bergen!

Here you have a bus stop with a roof if needed You also have a K-market But so it's sad cause half of the cars stops at this supermarket I waited for a long time, this road is not easy to hitchhack, but an Estonian guy took me all the way to Norway's coast!

good spot cars are very slow here and after couple of minutes I catch car to Otta with guy from Norway

got a short ride to the next gas station/rest area. There is much traffic to Norway there.

Male, Sunday evening in summer, going south to Sweden. Mostly local traffic, but this is a place where people pass from Norway/Finland driving down to Sweden. Also a gasstation and a store nearby. Didn't need to camp because an elderly couple took me late in the evening to Sweden, but I think there is plenty of opportunities to camp in the forest.

Waited for drivers leaving the parking area of the supermarket. They're almost all going down to Norway (hh in August 2025)

i think i just got unlucky - i was stuck here for almost 2 hours when in theory it should be a perfect spot. eventually i was saved and hitched a car to Norway. i reccomend a sign, because after a few kms the road splits in two.

I went on the ferry thanks to a car coming from Maribo. Then on the ferry I was looking for people going directly to Hamburg. After 10 people, I found 2 dutch brothers coming from Norway and going to the Netherlands. They dropped me at Moorfleet Ikea Hamburg. I was alone and with a small bag.

It's better here, a Romanian truck driver picked me up, (my first truck in Norway)

I took a bus from city centre (50nok) to this spot. I was lucky, my last hitchhike in Norway!!! And picked up by a smiling Syrian man.. it was really hard to hitchhike in Norway compared with other European countries, but in the end, I made it! :) thanks to those who I met;)

May 2025. I think I got insanely lucky - a lift all the way to Norway with a local guy.

2persons. We were aiming to go towards Norway. Everyone seemed to be only going to Gothenburg, eventually we found a girl that was going to Trollhättan and we decided to get dropped off in Bohus.

Awesome spot to go north to Norway. Cars go pretty slow because it is in town and there’s a good amount of traffic.

I was at the bus stop in front of the airport. A man from Norway going to Montenegro took me to Herceg Novi where I can take a bus to Kotor.

stranded here in the night (march 2025) tried for an hour but then decided to check in at the hostel, to try the next day. in the morning we asked people at the tankstation to bring us to Oslo. After three hours we found a ride not to Oslo but in Norway. theoretically this tankstation is perfect for hitchhiking but in our experience the people were not really keen on helping us.

I was camping there. Many cars are heading to Copenhagen. Much traffic to Sweden and Norway too, but many of the cars are full. After 3 hours got a ride to Kastrup. It was maybe not my lucky day that day.
