Really good spot for Poland. But have sign. A lot space to stop and cars go slow. And you get rid of most of the local traffic by now. Got a ride to nowy targ. And also accept ride only to there because rides stopping before is suicide as there is just one huge not ending town of tourist house which goes for kilometres which i can imagine is not the most fun place to hitchhike out

Just dont get off here cars go super fast and not a lot of traffic. But some tourists picked me of going from a side road to the cave so perfect for me as i was going to poland. I was pretty desperate because it was really shit spot as cars going from kezmarok were going super fast and there was no chance to stop them and no cars where going north from the side road only this one tourist one.

Really mice spot but dont accept any ride not going to rakusy because you will be stranded as i was. And it was not nice. I think its better to go from here towards poland not from spiska bela.

Ok spot. Traffic light and most of the traffic is going to kezmarok at least. Taxi stoped for me which was weird but he took me to kezmarok because he was returning from poprad where he took a person. Forst time hotchhiking a taxi nice :DDD

Busy gas station even late in the vening. I was trying to go to poland from here and didnt know which route should i take. Trough rzeszow or krakow but some nice guys where going to banska bystryca so i just decided going to poprad. More progress in the day because it didnt seem that anyone would go to poland at that time of the day. But in hindsight there would be maybe more polish traffic going to rzeszow but idk. I only tried krakow route.

There is a lot of hungarian cars going home after shopping but noone really stoped that much. Probably they were going to fast to stop. But good visibility and a lot of space to stop. But eventualy noce lady took us just over the border.

There was no traffic going east more than this town. We asked everyone and they eother stay in the town or go west ://. So we just stood on the road and the guy stoed and took us to the next bigger town

It was early morning and there was not a lot of traffic going east. Most of it was going towards west for some reason. But luckily founf two guys going to rimavska sobota for work. Maybe better to stand on the road with sign

Not the nicest spot to wait. There were a lot of cars going south but nobody stoped and then stared down the car so much trying to trun towards south that he took us. But its not the best as you just standing on the road kinda

Would not say that the spot is great as drivers are going fast and might be hard to see for them tahts there is place to stop but we got a ride in 30 mins but i can imagine it might take a while. Also it was really nice guy who HH before so he took us to the edge of ruzemberok for us to go to banska bystrica easier

A truck driver stopped me at 11 am

First Car stopped and brought be to Poland. Probably could have waited a bit longer to find a better ride all the way to Krakow

Not much traffic. We ask the first car, and it took us to Miskolc. He told us, that he is from Hungaria and went there because of the gas price. So maybe there are more cars going to Hungari there.

Not many cars, but you can stand easily everywhere next to the street with a sign. Got picked up by a driver, we took us to a gas station in front of the border.

A lot of tramprennen stickers there. You can stand behind the bridge, so you can catch the cars from the road and from the city. Most of the cars wanted to take the other way to Filakovo, but after half an hour we found a car to Rim. Sobota

Idk if this is a best spot in the town but for sure you must go to this town if you are going west to Hungary or Oradea until the highway is not yet built. A lot of Hungarian license plates but finally a guy stoped for me who was going to Frankfurt. Sadly i was going to east slovakia so got off just after debrecen. Would have been really nice progress if i was going to germany. Really nice guy tho. Stood with oradea sign. Tho one trucker going the other direction shouted at me in some language and pounted to go more in the town or was trying to say that it was not the best spit but it worked in the end. But holy its a fucking long ride to Oradea form here trough all the villages

Not the best place to go in the direction of Brno (D1 highway). A lot of cars stop here but most people only go to Prague. We (3 women) were asking around for 2 hours (from 4pm to 6pm) until a guy headed towards Slovakia took us with him.

A lot of tourists going back to Poland, Slovakia, Czechia and Austria. Lot of space for cars to stop. Also the gas station that is close has very nice staff. They gave me cardboard and a marker to write my sign.

golden gas station for going north (Austria, Slovakia, Czechia, Poland), many cars of various nationalities, after asking around a couple took us all the way to Znojmo (close to Brno, CZ), definitely recommend

Heading towards Slovakia border. Got picked up within 10 minutes by a Polish couple on holidays. They were going towards Wroclaw. They even bought me some Polish cheese!

Pretty bad spot for Slovakia. I asked all afternoon, and my only find was a truck leaving at 3 am the next day, which I decided to take. You can easily get from this gas station and sleep in nearby corn fields, if you find a truck going in the middle of the night, as I did. Did not see a single Slovak license plate around here.

only cars to budapest. do this: get to gas station as close to budapest, but before the turn to austria/slovakia and continue there. worked for me.

We didnt even start hitchiking and some lady started screaming from a car that shes gona take us to slovakia, there is not a good spot where to stand but its good

This is not really a good spot as most people are just coming to Brno. To go to Slovakia/Austria it might be better to head for gas stations on respective roads. After around 20 minutes of asking around a guy offered to take us all the way to Szombathely (Hungary).

I mean its all right. We got a ride to Bratislava after 10 minutes but I think we were very lucky, most of the traffic is austrian taxis, few cars from Slovakia but I wouldnt try getting a ride to Budapest or Hungary for that matter, almost no hungarian cars.

Very little traffic, most of it local. Probably better to ask here, but most won’t be going past Vac. I was thumbing with a sign (‘E77 - Krakow) and had a couple of offers that far or nearer until a woman heading to the border with Slovakia eventually took me. Station bathroom is paid or with purchase. Truckers were mostly there to take their pausa or going to a nearby warehouse.

(M+F), it took us like 15 minutes to find a ride towards Brno. There are a lot of trucks, and a lot of traffic towards Brno and Slovakia.

Ok station, but late in eaving the traffic is very low. If you want to get a ride further is good to wake up early. Because hikers go by there to Slovakia

only place from Mór towards Slovakia. there is a place to stop. not so much traffic because regular road.

Not so frequent gas station, but last in Slovakia in a way to Austria/Hungary. We (couple) spent some time here and asking people directly and also with sign to Vienna/Graz, but we didn’t manage it to Graz that day.

Quite good place, not so many cars, but few of them go to Bratislava. Some cars are a bit full because of workers groups. Anyway, you can find your ride to south of Slovakia from here.
