Great spot for reaching Poland. I only got a ride to the border but to Krakow should be very possible.

The service station was reasonably busy at 10am on a Thursday. I stood at the exit. Was trying to go to Warsaw from Kosice. Not sure if the highway route is better than taking the regional roads through Lublin but I decided to see. Quite quickly found a ride to Ruzomberok and onto the E77 into Poland.

Not a dangerous spot at all like thr comment below says. You have a good and safe plaxe to stand. Cars go a bit fast but pretty easy to thumb to at least Presov if not further.

I was lucky and got a ride almost straight away from a truck driver directly to Budapest but I also met another hitchhiker there that had been waiting for a ride towards Vienna since the evening before.

Post provado dum 40 minutoj ĉe la punkto apud la ponto (knabino haltis sed ne sciis parki kaj la publika transporto devigis ŝin foriri) ni ricevis veturon antaŭ la benzinstacio. Ĉi tiu ulo estis tre afabla kaj kondukis nin al unu el siaj laborejoj kaj alportis al ni manĝaĵon la sekvan tagon al nia kampadejo en Divín.

Ĉado kaj mi, el la teamo "La Amerikaj Knaboj" en "Tramprennen", faris ĝin ĝis la limo.

Chad kaj mi, el la teamo "The American Boys" en "Tramprennen", jam provis en du malsamaj samtempe lokoj plifortigi niajn ŝancojn. Sed ĉi ties estis Chad.

Doesn’t even feel like a good place but people are just that nice, 2 minutes for a ride straight to Poprad

Immediately got picked up to Podolínec

With a sign saying SL for Stará Ľubovňa, not much traffic but shouldn’t take too long either

ok spot to hitchhike towards Slovakia

I think the spot is great to go Slovakia but I was even luckier, I managed to go to Miskolc, Hungary with a Slovakia sign. The cars can see you from a distance and the bus stop is perfect for stopping.

A lot of traffic, mostly - but not only - cars from Germany, Austria, but also Hungary, Slovakia and Czechia. However! Germans won't take you, so it is better not to waste time with them...

Quite a good place to continue on the road outside Krakow - in the direction of Czech Republic/Slovakia

Pretty unlucky. There was construction work and no one was going to Slovakia. Took a ride to Zakopane in the end

Quickly got a ride in our direction. We wanted to go to Slovakia but it didn't seem like anyone was going there. If you want to go to Zakopane it should be pretty easy

Not too much traffic and cars coming from the main road are going quite fast, try to stand somewhere where road signs won’t hide you from them. Not ideal, but basically all traffic to eastern Slovakia from this part of Poland goes through here. Ideally avoid getting dropped here and get a direct ride to Slovakia from further north.

With SK/Prešov sign, got picked up by a fellow hitchhiker going to Białka almost immediately. Be careful about where you get dropped tho, all the traffic going to Slovakia follows the main road but not all spots are safe.

Many cars going slowly and leaving Krakow, lots of space for them to pull over at the bus stop but be careful because you have to stand on a slim patch of grass for drivers to see you. With a sign saying SK I got a ride to Nowy Targ by a guy going to Slovakia but not the right direction.

Got a ride to Krakow in 5 minutes. Slow traffic and everyone heading for Slovakia is coming through here because the highway is not finished.

Few cars, and not going to Miskolc or Slovakia. I ended up walking more than an hour through the fields to the MOL petrol station to the east.

Good spot if u go to Slovakia. A lot of space for cars or trucks to stop.

I’ve decided to use this spot because of bus stop, where I could hide in case of heavy rain (it was a rainy day). There are also traffic lights just before the bus stop, so cars are slowed down a bit. Plus they can safely use the bus stop to stop there. It took me only about 20m to get a direct ride back home to Zilina (Slovakia) which is around 190km.

beautiful place. we were just before gas station in Slovakia. 2hrs. than moved here. one big family in 2 cars took use to Oradea directly!

Decent spot to get a ride to Slovakia

it’s ideal if you go from ped border crossing from slovakia, many cars from there go here, i got a ride from a postman from Nova Poshta (Нова пошта) from the boarder to this spot:)

We were hitchhiking through Slovakia and got a rider to Bardejov. Not a lot of traffic, a lot of Polish people and there is a bus bay for cars to pull over. Not the best spot, but good enough to get to a bigger city.

Poland is so easy to hitchike broo random bus stops I didn't even have a sign and a guy in a TRUCK stopped on the bus stop and took me to tarnow. Poland is the easiest country to autostop in my opinion (I've hitchhiked in Germany, Belgium, france, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, bosnia so I guess I know what I'm saying)

Not much traffic but lots of people going north to Slovakia poland so if you ask over and over eventually someone will take you. Me and Mati got a ride to brezno (northern slovakia)🇸🇰
