Pretty good to get to Ljubljana

Many cars coming from the roundabout, they can only go towards south (Ljubljana, etc) there is also space for cars to stop a few meters down.

Good spot for ljubljana or zagreb. Got a ride to the next gasstation to zagreb.

still the best spot to get from koper in south directiom, unfortunately the driver didnt want to make a roadtrip to albania with us so he tool us atleast to pula.

Still the best spot to get to koper from Ljubljana.

In theory not bad, but same problems as the roundabout at the other side of the highway: quite „complex“ traffic here with separated lanes for the cars going in all different directions. You probably wont catch a lot of cars going on to the highway here somehow, even if the spot itself (bus stop) is quite okay for cars to pull over, there is not that much traffic coming by which is going towards the highway. (Area around here itself is quite busy but you definitely got less traffic here than at the other roundabout at the other side somehow) Better try the gas station at the highway next to here, if you wanna catch a ride going on to the highway towards Izola/south/Croatia! (worked for me :))

Avoid the area around the roundabout here if you want to catch traffic going on to the highway towards Izola/south/Croatia! Might seem like a good idea at first but its quite „complex“ traffic here with cars moving quite fast on multipile lanes and with limited options for them to pull over cause lanes are separated depending where they wanna go, so they can’t really pull over. Also a lot of local traffic in different directions here, so its quite busy but cars wont really look at you cause they’re busy theirselves getting the right exit. Better try at the gas station directly at the highway (max. 10 minutes by foot from here), u will have way better chances there, even if there’s not so much traffic going on, and you can maybe also get yourself some shadow there!

Not a good spot at all towards Izola/more south towards Croatia. Basicly no chance for cars to stop here, they are going directly at the highway when they come from the roundabout.

Really low trafic for gas station. 80% cars are local also

It's a good station; people often stop here to buy vignettes for Croatia. Lots of tourists and truck drivers. I was traveling alone, male

A lot of cars in the morning, you can easily catch a ride to Ljubljana and even Austria and Hungary.

As other user said, don't ask ppl around McDonald's (they all go to Austria). Go all the way to the end where is the exit to highway and stand with sign. Got a ride to Zagreb quite quick.

A great spot, but most of the cars were full. You can easily catch a ride to Koper or to Croatia.

A lot of people going to Ljubljana, not so many in the direction of Postojna...

Terrible place to hitch hike to slovenia. If somebody offers you to take you to Villach, dont go.

I definitely recommend this place! I decided to stay here because (at the time of writing this review) a bus leaves from this stop for the outskirts of the city, which makes it much easier to get out of town. Good spot to go to Slovenia

Not a good spot if you are trying to get towards Slovenia or Trieste. Accessible by foot but most of the traffic seems to go the airport (some people drive by fast just to cut the congestion line to turn right onto the airport) had a sign saying Possiomo Autogrill (next gas station) and after 2-3hr we gave up, first time giving up a spot wouldn’t recommend and there’s accouple of cop car who stopped here but didn’t bother us thankfully.

Really busy. Good spot to go to Venezia or other destinations south west. I had to go to Slovenia and it turned out to be a bit tough. Most cars were completely packed. A nice Italian Family brought me to Triest.

IMPORTANT: this worked before the autobahn was finished! got a ride to Zagreb from girl going to Slovenia. Cars go slow after roundabout, place to stop. In the middle of nowhere, but i was dropped off here.

Guy and girl heading to Slovenia. Had a sign saying Bovec (Slovenija). Not loads of space for cars to pull over but it's a wide road, and we quickly got a lift.

Didn't get a lift. Heading to Slovenia, had a sign for Tarvisio then changed it to Italy. Tried 30 minutes one evening then 30 the next morning. Could have tried longer but caught a bus to the border. Spot seems good, space to stop at the bus stop but cars are going quite fast and perhaps not all of them are going to Italy.

Guy and girl heading to Slovenia, had a sign saying Nötsch / Arnoldstein. Good spot, cars are going pretty fast but there's a big extra lane for cars joining the road, and cars on the road can stop on that. Got a lift to Arnoldstein after about 15 minutes.

Guy and girl heading to Slovenia, with sign for Lienz. Good spot, lots of traffic, got picked up pretty quick. No traffic lights but when we were there the little side road was blocked off with barricades which we moved a bit to make space for cars to stop. Got a lift to central Lienz.
