Quite small gas station, but still has ok amount of traffic and trucks stopping for gas. Asked around for a bit and then stood by the exit of the petrol station without a sign for about 5 minutes until I got picked up by a family going towards Södertälje.

i think that things have changed since 2012 ahahahah that spot is really good bc spaces for cars to stop and they are getting slow fully recommend it to go finland or hamaranda good luck it will work 100% (use a sign!!) 🤠🤠🤠

agree with the others that spot in 100% the best to leave luleå (if u can try everything to get here) ask around or use a sign to hitchhike at the exit and it will work to get north (try with like hamaranda) someone drop me to kalix finally :))) good luck 😸

i try there but that was so bad luckily a guy drop me at the next gas station -try that it’s your only way to get north from luleå (ask for the next circle k station) good luck ❤️

definitely not a really good spot if u try to go north like finland recommend to find a cars that can get u to the next gas station (like just hitchhike with no sign and ask for the next gas station) good luck luleå is a bit hard to leave 🫡

perfect spot to get out of the camping for piteå (on july full of ppl) lots of trafic and place for cars to stop -try with cars from the camping and the other from the road get a sign it’s easier got taken to piteå in 10min good luck ☀️☀️☀️

like a perfect spot to umeå/luleå full of traffic, cars are getting slowly and u can be easily seen (+place to stop) get a sign !! most of them are getting north so u get full of chances :) wish u the best it’s will work 100%🫡

absolutely not the best spot bc not a lot of traffic or just the E4 with cars at 100km/h but it work ahahaha place yourself at the stop and ask with a sign for the next city (ornevik) - or the E4 maybe then u can continue north after good luck😸

Quite quick but you need to get through a lot to get there.

ask ppl of the parking at 5pm and i found a direct lift to the next city (bjanva) not the best place ever cuz not that much of traffic but it work 🫠

worst spot ever to go north (even if the spot looks nice and space to spot/stop) i wait almost 7h without a big lift to umeå i got a sign but all of them were just doing little distance or going south that was really hard i recommend to get on a car directly when i gets half of the distance to umeå good luck if u wanna try to go north 🥲 (ps: i wasn’t especially strange but idk that time it just didnt work)

We tried hitching at the gas station, on the bus stop on the way to the .2 ramp, however nobody stopped. A lot of traffic, but a really big place - can get chaotic to choose a spot to go from. (We had norway on our sign)

The spot itself is great, good visibility, however not many people going far, I don't know if there is a better option out of Gothenburg though

really nice spot to get out of uppsala i got taken to ‘vundsvall’ after a hour but that was worth it !!! (i got a sign) full place on the bus stop to place yourself i fully recommend it (++ if u were at stockholm before and u want to go north) tips : cars for stockholm are on right side and cars for the north are mostly in the center of the road, but try both it will work good luck 😌

lonnnnng spot ahahah a lot of traffic but not that much of ppl going to sweden (like stockholm) if ur trying to get to stockholm you’ll have to be very patient, most of the people take the train or plane to get there hopefully a guy arrived 2h after under rain and dropped me to arjang (100km from oslo) good luck but the spot if perfect, a lot of space for cars to stop 😺

Low traffic and mostly local so getting such long lift is just me being lucky but still good stop towards Sweden

After I started asking people I found almost instantly a ride. Some guys that came from Romania and went to work to Sweden came through there and gave me a Ride.

Somehow this route worked for me already like 3 times towards Jönköping and 5 times to Växjö. All the time quite smooth considering it's Sweden (5-30min waiting). And actually I stood not here, but a bit south (500m, close to where the police radar camera is.), there there was a nice place to stop also. I used the JKPG sign to go north.

Welcome to Sweden. Hundreds of cars passing by without even blinking at you. At the highway there was an accident and a big traffic jam. Many people were therefore navigated to exit the highway through this gas station. I was standing at the exit to the regional road with a Ljungby sign. It was basically the whole highway passing me but with no interest. After an hour (probably like 200 cars) a guy from Kosovo took me to my destination Växjö. <3

Stood with a SE sign, got lucky and got to Glumslöv rest area. But I guess it was just luck, maybe for getting to sweden it would still be safer to get dropped off at the airport instead of here with my last ride.

i don’t get the same impression as the guy that rate the spot before that spot work perfectly for me, i got a sign with ‘verberg’ on it and a car just drop in göteborg ahahah idk if i was just lucky but anyway it has work maybe just try with short destination it’s could be easier idk🙂 stay safe and smile (it helps a lot in sweden ahahah) good luck !!

really nice spot to get to sweden by a ferry !! i found a guy with a boat that just drop me in holsinbourg with him on his boat 😸😸 btw a lot of cars on that spot and space for cars to stop just in front of the gas station. place yourself on the bicyle line (if u find no one try to get to the ferry before and ask cars to enter to get the ferry for free - the guy told me to do that at first) wish u good luck😌

Okay spot, three laned road, but the inner one is also used for parking so ok opportunities. Got dropped of at the ferry to Sweden!

Quiete a good spot towards Denmark and Sweden, unfortunately I arrived at 5 pm at Buddikate Ost and until I gave up at 8 pm I want able to get a lift towards the ferry in Puttgarden, quiet soon after arriving at the petrol station though I met multiple truck driver who would head towards Sweden the next morning (I thought that I would be able to catch a ride that evening so I didn't paided sufficient attention to this). After sleeping in my tent I got up the next morning and was able to catch a ride after waiting for two hours

Not great conditions, but trafic is low enough si people will stop. And it's not like there is any other options nearby. Got a ride to sweden in 5 min.

Got chased on my walk to the road by a guy who took me here on my way to Umeå, much easier to get rides here than in Sweden I think

Guy took me to a good spot in Malmö to go north. Recommended spot to go to Sweden.

Lot of truck drivers. Good for goteborg, helsingborg, trelleborg, ystad or other cities in sweden. Just ask around lot of polish and ukrainian drivers. Keep in mind that lot of drivers is waiting for the papers, it can take 10,20 minutes or 5 hour or like mine drive who took me 4 days but happy for me i was waiting around an hour

Great visilibity and a lot place for cars to stop even for trucks. Great spot for oslo and sweden. Truck driver took me to the border. Keep in mind that in this area theres very few cars so you can wait a while but theres no other option:) Solo male, thumb

A guy and a girl without a sign on a Thursday at noon. Seems to be a very good spot to go to Sweden. We wanted to go to Oslo, but we accepted the first ride that took us East of Malmö. We should have waited a bit longer to go further north though, as there must be a lot of people going everywhere in Sweden that pass through here, and Sweden is hard to hitchhike...

Only little traffic to Sweden in the evening, but I got lucky with a tow truck
