updating my last review, took us a very long time to get a ride. cars going very fast so expect to wait a while

Good visibility, space to stop, cars slowing down due to traffic camera

Good traffic and slow speeds, but cars going in several directions so less ideal. Still, decent alternative to the big roundabout, probably easyish to get short rides south to better spots

U have to ask people, I have tried with just sign (didnt work) Then i started to ask people and i was lucky to get to Goteburg

Got a ride to Umeå almost instantly after asking a few people at the gas station. Probably even better in the daytime.

Good visibility and most cars going at least to Abisko. Got a ride even in the dark with folks going to Narvik.

Had to wait a while before getting a ride to Umeå. Asking at the four gas stations next to the spot might be better.

Moved spot after an hour of nobody stopping. Decent traffic but low visibility and stopping options, at least in winter

Good spot, way better than other spots south from Luleå. Lower traffic but way easier for cars to see you and stop

Got a ride to Jokkmokk asking at the gas station, worked better than along the road earlier

Hitched a bus that took us to Boden for free

Plenty of space to stop and decent visibility, but all cars aren't leaving the city. Works okay even after dark.

waited for more than 2 hours on a saturday, got a ride from a young guy who was heading to Mjolby, even though it wasn't my original destination i still took the ride, and in the middle of the ride (after having a good conversation) he decided to drive an extra 30 min to take me to Granna (my original destination)

stood there in rain but got a nice ride to Česká Kamenice in like 20mins.. on my way to Sweden:)

Okay spot, three laned road, but the inner one is also used for parking so ok opportunities. Got dropped of at the ferry to Sweden!

Quiete a good spot towards Denmark and Sweden, unfortunately I arrived at 5 pm at Buddikate Ost and until I gave up at 8 pm I want able to get a lift towards the ferry in Puttgarden, quiet soon after arriving at the petrol station though I met multiple truck driver who would head towards Sweden the next morning (I thought that I would be able to catch a ride that evening so I didn't paided sufficient attention to this). After sleeping in my tent I got up the next morning and was able to catch a ride after waiting for two hours

Not great conditions, but trafic is low enough si people will stop. And it's not like there is any other options nearby. Got a ride to sweden in 5 min.

Got chased on my walk to the road by a guy who took me here on my way to Umeå, much easier to get rides here than in Sweden I think

Lazy to ask people so i stayed there and did not wait this long to find a ride directly to where i wanted in Sweden

Guy took me to a good spot in Malmö to go north. Recommended spot to go to Sweden.

Lot of truck drivers. Good for goteborg, helsingborg, trelleborg, ystad or other cities in sweden. Just ask around lot of polish and ukrainian drivers. Keep in mind that lot of drivers is waiting for the papers, it can take 10,20 minutes or 5 hour or like mine drive who took me 4 days but happy for me i was waiting around an hour

Great visilibity and a lot place for cars to stop even for trucks. Great spot for oslo and sweden. Truck driver took me to the border. Keep in mind that in this area theres very few cars so you can wait a while but theres no other option:) Solo male, thumb

A guy and a girl without a sign on a Thursday at noon. Seems to be a very good spot to go to Sweden. We wanted to go to Oslo, but we accepted the first ride that took us East of Malmö. We should have waited a bit longer to go further north though, as there must be a lot of people going everywhere in Sweden that pass through here, and Sweden is hard to hitchhike...

Only little traffic to Sweden in the evening, but I got lucky with a tow truck

Good spot towards ventspils, also not much traffic after 7pm. Got picked by a truck driver going towards ventspils. Idk, maybe it's even possible to cross the ferry to Sweden with them if you ask kindly?

Male, Sunday evening in summer, going south to Sweden. Mostly local traffic, but this is a place where people pass from Norway/Finland driving down to Sweden. Also a gasstation and a store nearby. Didn't need to camp because an elderly couple took me late in the evening to Sweden, but I think there is plenty of opportunities to camp in the forest.

Big space on the side for cars to stop, all traffic towards Sweden going through. Also a tiny little cafe.

Agree with the other review. Lots of cars going out of the highway, nobody going in direction Sweden. Got a ride of a local to a bit further, in a place where cars could stop on the side of the road.

By waiting near the exit with a sign, I was picked up by a German woman going to Frankfurt, heading back from her vacation in Sweden. Perfect timing.

Perfect, some greek/Albanians took me, they were going in vacation in Greece from Sweden. Lots of nice and no so nice people here !
