It took me just a few minutes to find a Polish truck heading to the island of Fyn in Denmark. This spot is nice, and there are plenty of cars here.

This isn´t the safest spot by any means, but it worked pretty well. There is some place to stop, but not too much. Maybe I was just lucky.

Got an extremely local hitch, but it helped a lot. Not really a great place to stop, but somehow the guy did.

Maybe I just got lucky, but I got a ride to Helsingborg almost immediately. I slept in the nearby field.

To be honest, avoid this place, if possible. Sweeds are not helpful, and speaking to them usually doesn't help. I only got from here because a Belgian dude came, and I talked to him. Traditional hitchhiking is out of the question here; the cars are fast and almost impossible to stop. You are far from any useful stuff nearby, and walking anywhere is out of the question. You are at the mercy of someone else if you decide to get off here.

The best way to get from Malung, in my opinion. A guy offered to take me to the motel in Duch Mountain, which was a mistake; it took me a few hours to get there.

Long wait because Swedes dont pick you up, but eventually we got a ride with a danish guy all the way to Stockholm. He was going to a horse race so we joined him and got beer and wine too!

Very nice spot but most Swedish people just don’t pick you up. Eventually we got a ride with a nice guy who offered a ride all the way to Stockholm! Got off in ödeshög though

Low Traffic,also Not Long distance

I was walking toward the on ramp in Helsinborg direction and waving at cars and to my surprise, one of them actually stopped. Also, there is a comfortable field by trees nearby for sleeping if arrive late to this place.

I don't think this is a good spot, but guy picked me up and brought me to better one.

I think this is not a bad spot, but maybe I just got lucky. Two Iranian guys took me, all the way to Malmö they were really nice. It isn't really a great one, but one of the best in this area.

Great spot, there is a lot of cars going to Denmark. I got a polish truck going all the way to the Fyn island, which was good spot as well.

Good spot. We (3 persons) got a ride in 15 min.

I got an instant ride on the ferry. I'm just flexing, I didn't get to know the spot.

Ride to Varnamo in 5min. The rampe is not the safest, but it's wide enough.

Easy rude to Mjolbi. But I would't call that a good spot. You have enough cars coming though. And a narrow place to stop.

Awfull spot. I thought I was the best to change ride in motala, but car are to fast. 50min waiting to end up with at 5min rude to the other side of the town.

Ride direction to Orebro. Good spot to stop if your previous ride go in Norkoping and you want to go on the E18 for Oslo, Goteborg or Cph. In an early sunday morning, slow traffic but decent enough, half of the car go straight in town, other half go on the highway.

Okay spot, three laned road, but the inner one is also used for parking so ok opportunities. Got dropped of at the ferry to Sweden!

Quiete a good spot towards Denmark and Sweden, unfortunately I arrived at 5 pm at Buddikate Ost and until I gave up at 8 pm I want able to get a lift towards the ferry in Puttgarden, quiet soon after arriving at the petrol station though I met multiple truck driver who would head towards Sweden the next morning (I thought that I would be able to catch a ride that evening so I didn't paided sufficient attention to this). After sleeping in my tent I got up the next morning and was able to catch a ride after waiting for two hours

Not great conditions, but trafic is low enough si people will stop. And it's not like there is any other options nearby. Got a ride to sweden in 5 min.

Got chased on my walk to the road by a guy who took me here on my way to Umeå, much easier to get rides here than in Sweden I think

Lazy to ask people so i stayed there and did not wait this long to find a ride directly to where i wanted in Sweden

Guy took me to a good spot in Malmö to go north. Recommended spot to go to Sweden.

Lot of truck drivers. Good for goteborg, helsingborg, trelleborg, ystad or other cities in sweden. Just ask around lot of polish and ukrainian drivers. Keep in mind that lot of drivers is waiting for the papers, it can take 10,20 minutes or 5 hour or like mine drive who took me 4 days but happy for me i was waiting around an hour

Great visilibity and a lot place for cars to stop even for trucks. Great spot for oslo and sweden. Truck driver took me to the border. Keep in mind that in this area theres very few cars so you can wait a while but theres no other option:) Solo male, thumb

A guy and a girl without a sign on a Thursday at noon. Seems to be a very good spot to go to Sweden. We wanted to go to Oslo, but we accepted the first ride that took us East of Malmö. We should have waited a bit longer to go further north though, as there must be a lot of people going everywhere in Sweden that pass through here, and Sweden is hard to hitchhike...

Only little traffic to Sweden in the evening, but I got lucky with a tow truck

Good spot towards ventspils, also not much traffic after 7pm. Got picked by a truck driver going towards ventspils. Idk, maybe it's even possible to cross the ferry to Sweden with them if you ask kindly?

Waited quite a while in the hot sun with a sign. Good place to stop, but not always easy to hitch in Sweden. Finally got a ride with a guy who took me quite a bit towards the northwest. Male/summer

Good spot to head south from Alta. People can go longer distances to Finland/Sweden. Summer, male traveller

Male, Sunday evening in summer, going south to Sweden. Mostly local traffic, but this is a place where people pass from Norway/Finland driving down to Sweden. Also a gasstation and a store nearby. Didn't need to camp because an elderly couple took me late in the evening to Sweden, but I think there is plenty of opportunities to camp in the forest.

Big space on the side for cars to stop, all traffic towards Sweden going through. Also a tiny little cafe.

Agree with the other review. Lots of cars going out of the highway, nobody going in direction Sweden. Got a ride of a local to a bit further, in a place where cars could stop on the side of the road.

By waiting near the exit with a sign, I was picked up by a German woman going to Frankfurt, heading back from her vacation in Sweden. Perfect timing.

Perfect, some greek/Albanians took me, they were going in vacation in Greece from Sweden. Lots of nice and no so nice people here !
