A really good spot, I took public transport from Genève to the border in Ravières; from there I walked like 15 minutes or less (trust in google maps, the route will take to some fields but you will arrive in the border zone, next to some toilets and parking area). I stand next to the exchange store, is perfect because the cars pass by in low velocity and they can see you really good. A sing always helps to save time and make the right people stop. There, a car took me directly to Lyon and the driver, Thoma, was super nice he leave me in the next good spot in the highway to continue my journey to Marseille

Stood with a sign Bern/Lausenne on a Saturday, really few cars with matching license plate passed and they all acted as I was invisible. Maybe asking directly or chosing another spot works but this was a really unlucky/annoying wait.

Nice long lane after this spot for cars to stop, I saw it more frequented than the other exit cause all cars from all parkings exited here. Got a ride to Lausanne by a nice Belgian man visiting his daughter, they even invited me to their flat for a glass of water and giving advices about the city.

Alot of traffic go on the highway. Enough space on the side to stop easily. But not a like place to stop. As it is entrance to a highway.

Got a ride to delemont (Delsberg). Wanted to go to Belfort but no one stopped. Most cars are going to delemont so just try with this one.

perfect spot for berne/lausanne (and also geneve), got took in lausanne with a direct ride in almost 40-45min fully recommend it : lots of space to stop (bus stop) and lots of traffic that drive slow good luck the place is perfect 🙌🏼

Belgian people going to Venice, went out in lucern. Busy spot, reccomend it for going south.

As the other review says. I tried to go west (Switzerland), but it didn’t work at all. Most of the cars are going to Munich or further south to Austria. I gave up eventually and got picked up quickly after I changed my sign to Munich

Three girls with "Brig" sign got picked up until Visp (Visp is perfect if you want to continue to Italy trough the Simplon pass). Friday is the best time to hitchhike here, because of italian (and other) people working in Switzerland going home for the weekend.

Horrible spot with basically no cars. I got really lucky someone was going towards Switzerland where I was going near Liechtenstein (the second car). Would not recommend this spot though.

Great for Destinations in Switzerland/ North. Waited for 15min and a rich guy took us to Zug. Which is very close to our Destination Zurich

Its actually a good spot if you want to travel north. There is a free toilet. Lots of german and swiss cars. We were a bit unlucky and waited for 2h, a lot of full cars. But then we got a ride behind the border of switzerland.

In the afternoons you can easily catch a ride from Switzerland to the villages on the French side with cross border commuters, but the other direction is difficult. And the other way around in the mornings.

Good spot for hitch towards Switzerland. Many swizz cars pass by.

Would be 5 stars if not for the police risk. Swiss police told me I had to cross into France or leave the highway area in Switzerland.

On the begging of the parking next to a street. Thanks to this and bicycle lane on road there is small place for stopping here even if parking spots itself are occupied. Direction Cannobio/Switzerland

Bad spot for heading south – everyone's going towards Dole, Besançon, or Switzerland. And even though I did find quite a few people willing to give me a lift in the direction of Lyon, they weren't actually going the way I needed – they were heading south, but not the right south, if that makes sense.

5 am, a lot of ppl go to switzerland. i was too lazy to talk and just stood at the exit thumbing.

Good to go either north or south towards Switzerland. Had a sign for Freiburg/France. Was a bit early, a bit later in the day I'm sure it gets quite busy.
