Good place

You need to walk outside city until side way met with highway.

You can go Phu Wiang or Khon Kaen with this way also in Ptt station have a KFC for free WiFi and if you can find PT station there have Punthai coffee shop and free WiFi too. Enjoy

After traffic lights you can do hitchhike. Try to find truck here have a lottt. 1 young new family host me in they house... I'll continue with more rest body

Here have place for stop car. But don't have a place for shadow so be careful if you in hot day's.(I walked 7km here from city center)

Bad spot for hitchhike. Try to use grab or bolt to go outside city. Also near train station have a Otteri laundry and there have shower.

Just say Sabaidee for locals and they will try to help you. After this town, road amazing and cold. Don't forget wear clothes for cold weather. But until Korat this road AMAZİNGGGGG

Near Train station. You can rest, eat and drink cold something. I found car to go Kabin Kao

I come here and find mosque, Muslim people gave me food and water. After I found a car but wrong way (xD) anyway, road is road so I move Chonburi

It's an easy spot for hitchhiking. This highway goes directly to Bangkok. I hitchhiked from the same spot in 2024 and 2026 and only waited 10 minutes.

Waited for less than 10 min, got a HH from european guy. If you head south just stick to gas stations on the highway. Managed to get all the way to Bangkok with a very chill pace in 3 days by sticking to the highway.

Ride to Millsboro with a guy who was Doordashing. Said he wanted to touch sand in Thailand someday.

Pretty good spot, hid in the shade of a signpost. Lots of space for cars to stop. Trucks too. Had 6 people stop, ask if I was ok, and offer to take me to the bus station. Difference between Thailand and Cambodia was very obvious.

PTT gas station - This is one of the best spot in Bangkok to hitchhike south. I was going south, then I wrote a sign to Samut Songkhram (สมุทรสงคราม) first, but the car only took me to Samut Sakhon (สมุทรสาคร), 10 km away. You can get a cardboard from automobile shop at the end of gas station ** PTT station is the best gas station to hitch a ride in Thailand.

great spot for heading south or north, lots of room for cars to pull over. This is one of the main north/south transport links in thailand. i found a ride for all the way to bangkok! i waited maybe between 1-2 hours

many many cars heading north. small layby for stopping (its thailand, so no need for gas station to wave cars down, they stop anywhere!) found a lift to nakhon sawan quite quick. remember to use both western and asian methods of stopping cars (western thumb and asian vertical hand wave)
