Secret spot from a local. you take any bus in Kiev direction till Karpusi bus stop then walk a little along the road up until it gets straight. Its a roadside with plrnty of space, kind of in the middle of nowhere but worked for me every time and became a favorite spot after 10+ rides in the direction Kiev.

Already hitchhiked here twice, both times the wait time was around 15-20 minutes. It was in summer, and there were many cars, so just had to wait for one to stop. Destination was in Dolyna both for us and the drivers.

It took me no time to get a ride almost directly to Kiev

Mostly to Lublin but you can find even direct lift to Ukraine

Got picked up by an Amazon delivery driver from Ukraine, one of the nicest people I’ve met, risking his job to pick up me 😅. He drove me to the Amazon warehouse and brought me a hot chocolate, then I slept in a nearby field

We were preparing to wait for a long time. But it only took 15 minutes until a nice Ukraine guy picked us up.

A lot of cars (most of them to Bauska and riga) and trucks (frequently to Tallin and poland). I caught a nice man who went to Ukraine, and left me in warsaw. One of the best spot Nearby riga

one of my favourite ways to catch a car — waiting for cars to slowly exiting a patrol station. a lot of cars here are going towards ukraine/lviv/smth else, really nice spot. good in any time of a day

cars go slowly here because of the queue for a troll station, the best place to hitchhike in this area towards east poland like rzeszow or ukraine

This is a surprisingly nice spot for something before the border. An open road with ample space to pull into the roadside car park. Lots of French traffic too since a lot of people go to El Pas De La Casa to for cigarettes and alcohol, then turn round and go home. The bus here from Andorra la Vella is deceptively long, and surprisingly more expensive than the other routes; so in my case, getting here from La Massana was a proper headache. Andorra's public transport really is nothing to write home about! After a short walk and a talk with a very confused supermarket security guard, I was picked up by a mother and daughter from Ukraine, who took me to L'Hospitalet. Sadly, I never got their names…

Arguably one of the best spots in Poland. Great to catch a ride towards Wrocław or Katowice. With some luck you can also find a driver going to Kielce, Lublin, Rzeszów or even Ukraine or Czech Republic. I believe there was a hole in the fence, close to the exit in the bushes. Just go along the fence and you'll find it.

Small station, majority of cars drive to Ukraine, but I was trying to get to Romania, so probably it's easier if you are going to UA. The trucks stop only when they have to take a long 12h break to sleep.

We waited for 50 minutes, but thet is allright given the time of the year. Tuesday morning - mostly businessmen. A man from Ukraine took us near Pilsen.

good location across the street from the store. drivers stop to go to the store and you can approach the driver and ask to go with him. If you are going to Ukraine, I recommend waiting for a truck with Ukrainian numbers. and then talk with the driver to get to the border;)

not exactly the spot, but look forthe entrance of the port. there are ferries coming time to time with lot's of trucks to Slovenia, North-Italy, Hungary, Ukraine, etc. stand after the roundabout, because there is a place for them to pull down.

Not the best place but I made a sign to Brzeno and eventually got a life to the Ukrainian border. Originally I had a sign for UA (Ukraine) but I think that detracted many potential drivers

Good place to hitch to the Poznan, Ukraine, Zielona Gra or Wroclaw. I stayed here with my friend for 30 minutes.

hitchhiking in Ukraine seems to be difficult these days. Stood at this spot (which seems perfect) for 6 hours without anyone even so much as slowing down to look at my sign.

Decent place for Ukraine. As the gas station has mostly local traffic, I'd recommend to stand on the parking lot on the side of the road, took us about 30-40 minutes to catch a ride to Lviv.

Gas station with primarily local traffic, but there's a small parking lot on the side of the road where you can stand with a sign, and a reasonable amount of traffic towards Ukraine passes.

After two very rainy hours and a good lunch we eventually accepted a ride to Jaroslaw (just east of Rzeszow), while trying to get to Ukraine.

Large gas station with McDonalds. Plenty of traffic towards Tarnow and Rzeszow, but a bit more difficult to catch a ride all the way to Ukraine.
