Good spot to go to Strasbourg. Do not hesitate to ask :)

A lot of cars going to Paris direction and to Luxembourg. For sure good to have sign. After hour and something I was lucky and got a lift all the way to Munich.
I was standing at the exit but not the ideal place, it's right after the round about and if car stop there, it blocks the exit, probably better to ask people in front of the gas station.

Make sure to stand at the west point of the roundabout near the gas station building, not anywhere else. But generally it's a good station to get to the German border or Paris

Many cars are going to Paris, some to Strasbourg and less to Germany. We were standing there longer than 1.5 hours, but found the car to Wroclaw. It was like magic (1000 km). So maybe you will be lucky also. Traffic are really good

We found a ride to Ulm, Germany in about an hour!

The gas station serves both sides: Most cars go to Paris, some to Strasbourg.
I tried to go to Nancy and I did not find anybody during 3 hours.

Sunday afternoon: I wanted to go to Nancy and I found somebody who took me directly to the city center.
ButI was lucky, since most cars are heading towards Metz or Paris.

I stood for two hours here waiting a car to Luxembourg. No Way! Finnaly I changed my plate to Metz and get a ride in 20 min.

As the description said, most of the cars are heading to Paris. If you are going towards Strasbourg or Germany I wouldn't say it's an ideal spot. Take initiative and talk to the drivers to have a better chance of getting a ride

>A4 Metz Strasbourg >A4 Paris Reims

Bi-directional gas station - cars to both directions thanks to the linking bridge.
Good if you are staying along A4.

Definitely to avoid if trying to hitch to Luxembourg or Nancy. Most car will go straight. Better to arrange a hitching place in north south direction along A31

Loads and loads of cars headed to Paris, but it took me close to three hours finding sb going towards Saarbrücken/Strasbourg willing to take me... at least I got rich in the time I waited ;-)
