I got lifted there and arrived at 1 AM. It's easy to find a spot to have some rest. I originally planned to go to Montpellier and from there Marseille, but got to Marseille instantly. Normally it has high traffic, but at night I couldn't even expect anyone to bring me to Montpellier

Wanted to go to Lyon in March but only got a ride to Orange after an hour or so (on a wednesday evening). Maybe a good place to stop over night as there should be a hotel (didn't see it though) and there is a roofed terasse above the gas station where you could sleep if it was war enough.

Got a ride to Lyon quite easily. Easy to camp there too.

in my opinion, that's where you should stop if you are in a car going to montpellier and if you want to go further north or east. last time, the first person we asked to gave us a ride to lyon...

Was heading to Italy but with a "Marseille" sign I got a ride to Salon-de-Provence within 20 minutes.

In reference to the description above, if you're at this station heading north/east and need to go to Lyon, even people going to Marseille can take you to Aire d'Ambrussum, which is the service station just before Nimes.
