We were hitch-hiking there on Sunday and the traffic was extremely low. Basically local drivers. We were moving between station and entrance to the station on the highway and it took us 3-4 hours to find a ride to the boarder (which was much easier to find a ride to Poland).
Probably during the week it's much better.

To get there you can, for example, hitchhike here: http://hitchwiki.org/maps/?place=1682 - since there are quite many drivers going to Vc - and ask them to stop on Shell station. Most of the cars on the station are going to Vc or other nearby places in Hungary, but from time to time there are coming drivers from different countries and truck drivers. Personally, I was waiting a little bit less than half an hour directly to Cracow, but it is important to add, that it was a long May weekend in Poland. Still, it's the only one gas station on the motorway for many, many kilometres.
