We (Boy/Girl) we didn't ask around the Restaurant just at the gas station and the fifth person was willing to take us to Bilbao !! This spot has everything: many cars, lots of international traffic, a restaurant.
BUT NOONE STOPS! We thought we would wait 15mins here but took us over 3 hours to get a 3 hour ride. Everybody is full and many people were unfriendly, even the ones from france.
Maybe your luck will be better because objectively this spot seems good.

from burgos take a bus at the bus-station to quintanapalla and then walk on the little road that goes back to the gas-station :)
