After looking for a good spot in Dover for a while I arrived here and the first car I asked was willing to take me on the ferry (despite being sceptical if that would work) and straight to my destination in Germany. Lots of international cars there in general.

I was going to France and waited there around half an hour but I was very lucky. Is is good to have a board. Nearby there is a BP station, you can ask there - some people go to France as well.

Pretty bad for direction Ashford/London/Brighton - most people stay in town.

Mostly local people stop at this petrol station, so they are not taking the ferry. However, it is easier to get a ride when you can talk to people first. After standing at the busstop in Townwall Street for 4 hours, we decided to try here and convinced someone to take us within 15 mins.
