Perfect place. Lots of cars. Opportunity to shower, charge, camp. Nevertheless I waited about 1.5h ob Saturday evening then I decided to camp and on Sunday I waited again for like 2,5h but I didn’t talked to people. I don’t know but when there are to much people I don’t really feel like asking around. Got a few offers 10-30 Kilometers and after 2.5h I decided to take the next offer and ended on a small station 20 minutes away

After checking the 2 parking lots and the gas station for 2 h we got a ride for 2 people going all the way to Hamburg through the night. (car picking up gas).
Btw The Rødby ferry price is not dependent on the number of passengers, so it was free.
1 L beer at gas station costs 20 DKK.

15 minutes with a sign for a ride to Falster (close to Gedser).

Got a ride in twenty minutes to the Ferry at Rodby

Did this in late July 2016. I just asked people around, and got a ride all the way to Germany after 10 minutes on a Monday morning!
―Emanuele19956, August 2016
Went at 5.30 in the morning got a ride after 45 min to a roundabout in Falster close to the Gedser ferry.

Very good place to hitch West (Odense). Got a ride within fifteen minutes, had a sign with D / E45 on it. Perfect!
However, took the train to Karlslund and the bus, not the train to Koge, as I think that is a gas station further South!
―Mistersunfield, July 2015
In a group of three we got a ride to Odense from here after 1,5 h.
Behind the gas station close to the woods there´s plenty of space to camp. (09.2014)

I got there about a month ago and I made pretty much the same experience as the others. Though, it took me more time to catch a ride to the ferry to Germany(~2h of waiting). From the trainstation it takes approx. 40min. After I was there for more than an hour the staff told me to leave until the beginning of the motorway. They have a lot of hitchhikers there so be nice to the employees and try to make it reasonable that you are standing there. ¡Buena suerte!

I walked from the Karlslunde S-Tog station. There is a map when you leave the station. Analyze it and take even a picture, because nobody from there could tell me the way to reach the petrolstation. I saw some hitchhikers, I understood then I was back on the right tracks ;) Got a ride to Rødby ferry !

still road works in spring 2014. I hitched an empty tourist bus to the Rödby ferry in 15 min.
―Adamiksen, May 2014
Got a ride within 45 min towards Rødby. Might have been less cars because of road works (in september 2013), but supposed to be the biggest fuel station in Denmark.

Walked here in the evening, camped there and got a ride in the early morning. Good spot

Waited for around three hours, asking everyone around if they were going to Rhodby/the ferry. At last we found someone that would pick us up, and let us sit in their baggage of their minivan. We we're three persons.

It's a very big petrol station, with parkings and restaurants. We were asking drivers directly and after 30 mins we found a guy who took us straight to Horsens.

30min for a ride to Hamburg, with sign E47/E55 and D :)
―Koendev, June 2013
got a ride from a nice finnish couple all the way to Luebeck from here. There are also showers at the service station, which probably, for me, helped a lot in getting a lift ;)
―Äntti, May 2013
I was staying at the station's ramp into the highway and got a ride in 15 minutes.

If you want to leave Copenhagen take the train to Koge and walk to this gasstation.
I do so in November 2009 on my way to germany. You will find a lot of drivers but only a few are heading to the ferry. Get up early in the morning!

gasstation. Last time leaving Copenhagen i wrote Koge on the cardboard, but asked to get off here. Saved me waiting time in Cph. Not always much traffic, depends on time of the day/year.
