Easily got a ride to Kaiserslautern. I used "Kaiserslautern" sign. But a woman who stopped was going to Nancy/France. She didn't have GPS working that day, so she asked me to help her and she was going the same way.
Many cars stop at this rastplatz.

Parking place with a small imbis/restaurant and toilets but no gas-station. Very good to start a trip, if you have someone who brings you to the field road behind that place.
