Quite busy petrol station near border. We waited for more than an hour. A driver gave us a lift to Vienna.

Pretty busy spot with plenty of cars heading to the north. Most people were going to Czech Republic/Poland, but I managed to get a direct ride to Wurzburg after about an hour of wandering around the service area. Overall, a very decent spot.

The only question is which service station is best out of three to continue towards Vienna, Linz/Salburg or Ljubljana or Zagreb. Service station Gralla in Austria, the Slovenian station 1 km south of the border or the Slovenian station north of Maribor on the A1... that truly is the only question... who wants to test them all ten times in both directions? ;)

(and then, once we find out, and all five zillion hitch-hikers know about it, which will then automatically make the best service stations into worst, due to reasons of lots and lots of competing hitch-hikers... (wait, another five cars with more hitch-hikers are just driving into the station, while I'm writing...) ;)

Here there is a gas station with restaurant from which is possible to cross from one side of the highway to the opposite side.
I hitchhiked from here, asking drivers stopped to refuel, heading to Graz / Gradec. The waiting time was about 15 minutes.
