Raststation Feistritz
Bad spot to go to Slovenia. Waited 2h in the evening and 1h in the morning. Asking people directly at the parking spot did not help either. The only good thing is you that you can walk out of the highway to the smaller roads by the back.rating: 2/5

Still seems to be a bad spot. On a sunday, there were not that many cars, many of whom also do not go south. Those who do, do not seem to be keen on taking hitchhikers. My ride was a very lucky coincidence, otherwise I would probably have had to wait till the next day.

This place is incredibly busy but.... not effective for some reason. There is only one gas station for both sides of the highway so only a little part of the traffic will go your direction. I waited 3 and a half hours for a long ride to Nuremberg. It is good to sleep over though. Plenty of space to pitch your tent!

Yeah, the same as before: impossible to get to Slovenia from here. Fortunately the gas station and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful and showed me the way to the nearest bus stop to get to Villach.

Worst place ever to go south to SLO! During 2 1/2 hours of waiting not only 1 car was interested to stop, even there were passing many. When I arrived, I thought `'nice place (because of the beautiful mountains around), here it's not so bad to stay longer", few minutes later I found the traffic sign with all the negative comments of HH and then I had my own experience... I just got a Villach...

Stuck here for 6 hours or something, though in the end got a ride from the most friendly Slovenian couple who too kus al lthe way to a hostel in Ljubljana. Avoid this station if you can!

Kinda got stucked there pretty bad. Spent a night there (amazingly quiet obv) and decided to go the opposite direction the other day. Lot of of fun seeing all the notes of the various HHs on the traffic sign, it´s really worth reading it.

We went to Italy. A minibus of scouts heading for Slovenia stopped after 30 minutes then we asked someone to drive us to Villach.

well it's a quiet difficult place: u can go the highway in two directions and right after villach more highways are crossing. then i found many tourists, who always say that they can't take anybody. i had to sleep here for a night before someone took me to LJ

Dont know why but this place has a bad atmosphere. I was stuck for more then three hours. On the back of a traffic sign, people wrote their waiting time. Some had to wait more than 24 hours. So I think I was very lucky. Most of people willing to take me were going to Salzburg/Germany (where I came from). If you choose this place it is advised to take a tent. I did not need mine, but other HHers stayed here for the night. I believe I was very lucky finding a direct ride to Ljubljana.

During abgefahren hitchhiking race 2010 many teams get stuck at this service station in direction slovenia, but also on the way back to germany. it is a lot of traffic but dont know why, you don't get lifts
