Sasfészek-tó pihenőhely

Probably the best spot for hitchhiking from Budapest towards Vienna/Bratislava/Prague, you have to take a train from Budapest city centre and then a 3 km walk to get here though. Used thumbs up and sign Wien/Bratislava, snatched a ride after like 90 minutes (2 people), a single seat ride was offered to us after like 30 minutes.

A good spot to catch a drive to Gyor/Vienna. There is a place a the exit of the gas station where the cars cana pull over as they enter the highway, you can also ask the drivers. Harder to get there, you have to get a bus from budapest and then walk for about 30 min. We (2 people) catched a romanian guy going to Köln, and he drive as to Vienna.

Unfortunately trucks don't stop at this Gas station. It doesn't work to come here from the city but public transportation because it takes to long.

I have used this place 2 times to go to Vienna, and i've never waited more than 20 min. But it's important to have a sign.

This is an entrance for autostrada from 101 (or old 1) and also a small rest place. The traffic isn't so high, but there are a lot of foreign people (Austrians, Germans)
So if you want to go to Veinna, or Germany, it is an ideal place.
