Honestly, we think this spot is overrated. If you’re heading for Germany there’s far fewer passers by that are heading for the ferries than expected. It’s a perfectly fine spot for hitchhiking in the general area and N/S along E47, but we waited for quite a long while for the amount of traffic heading by.

Seems like a great spot, we were a bit unlucky. Waited for quite some time with a DE sign at the exit. The strategy was to find someone going directly to Germany, in order not to get stuck at the port. But we got bamboozled by an old man that offered us a ride without saying a word and then dropping us out at Maribo.

We got a lift directly to the ferry in Gedser, because the driver of a car approached us right after we went inside the store (because of the rain).
