Highway service stations are always good, didn't take me long to get to the service station after Osnabrück, and from there to Köln.Possible to walk through from the nearby village, but it's a little far.

I found an elderly couple driving to Velbert which is south of Bochum so they could drop me off at A40 -Bochum Zentrum from where you can walk /take the Subway to Bochum HBF.
Works in the region from Dortmund to Düsseldorf (VRR).
Students can take you on their ticket on weekends or after 7PM

Easy to reach from Grundbergsee/Bremen
A lot of cars going to the Ruhr-Area. Bring a Map/Smartphone with you so you can check if they'll pass your destination.
